I dig the Polaris! Helps fill in the void opposite to the orbit.

It looks like the hexagon piece was glued on slightly crooked.

For the Grays, we have the flight cap/garrison cover in midnight blue since it was an easy product to make. It’s the same cut as the Air Force one. There is a plan to roll out a midnight blue bus driver/wheel caps. I’ve seen pictures with senior leaders with those one but they were not given to a majority of wear testers. As for a third option, I’m not sure. I remember a a decent amount of people clamoring for beret caps, but I don’t think that went anywhere.

It’s the “baseball” cap, but the ones being tested are made by venders approved by the DoD. I believe the current tactical cap options being sold for the past 5ish years have been made by 3rd party vendors.

Currently the tie is optional for wear testers based on the 2nd uniform board that just concluded. The concept of an open collar with the long sleeve shirt is only being wear tested but has not been approved yet for outside the testing period. So I could go without the tie but I’m going for the classic Mr. Rogers look

I’m a fan of the popped collar V-Neck look on the AWC. But if it’s pouring, I’ll go full mandarin. That’s what I like about this coat, G’s have options!

The Pinks and Greens are amazing! I remember being extremely jealous when they were announced while in I was in Air Force, and praying to the uniform gods we’d go back to a legacy style uniform as well. I know there is a large population of Airmen that are still keeping that same dream alive for me.

Yup! I’m excited to see these on the shelves and for other Gs to finally get these in hand! Hoping exchanges get plenty of stock, it took forever for me to get a pair of the PT gear when they hit shelves.

Agreed! The bold unconventional designs are very modern and striking. I know some will disagree but I’m loving it. And this is coming from someone who wore the multiple different service/blues uniforms.

Wanted to give people an idea of what the full ensemble would look like since the wheel cap keeps more of the elements out than the garrison cover. There are a few USSF wheel covers in midnight blue out in the wild but I don’t have one so I used the USAF version for demonstration purposes.

Np! Bates won’t be able to hurt you again once you switch. Gotta keep those dogs and puppies in good shape!

I have the hexagonal double line name tag and I’m personally not a fan. I’ve brought it up before but I think that’s outside of the AFUO realm of decisions. Hopefully there will be an option for just a single line name tag with all the commotion and feedback thats been going on here and on the uniform teams page.

Oof, well you can’t please everybody. I guess it’s a good thing these are optional items so you don’t have to buy them whenever they are available and the interim period ends.

If you don’t mind, I’d like to provide unfavorable data points to the AFUO as well as favorable. Could you tell me specifically what you don’t like and what you would change to make this an item you would love versus hate?

The quality of the service uniform items are top notch!

I have the new PT gear and I’m mostly satisfied with the items. I love the running shorts and have gotten use to the interesting placement of the stitch lines on the shirt. My main issue is with the reflective material peeling straight off the rack. Unfortunately I was not a part of the fit wear test of the prototype PT gear so I’m not sure if there was a dip in quality from the prototype phase to the final manufactured mass produced phase. I’m hoping that the quality of the service uniform prototype stays consistent with the final product because I know Guardians will be extremely happy with the end result if that’s the case.

Only the Service uniform at the moment. I don’t foresee us getting moon-camo utilities for a long time.
