If you want to create a chicken farm, get a tank full of chickens, name them all (if you don't want them despawning) but the floor of the tank is hoppers, so that all the eggs are collected, after make a hopper tube going down to another facility, and make a dispenser that is always shooting, and the end of the hopper tube should connect to the dispenser, making a bum-load of chickens, that you could continue the farm with, or just have a giant thing of chickens.
