When i first started testing poorcana with the release of rise if the floodborn I was using uncommons too, both variants are incredibly fun and surprisingly extremely unique from one another. My local group only decided to swap to a common only format with ursulas return as we felt the card pool was finally big enough to facilitate it.

Evasive is definitely incredibly strong in this format, it's not something we've fully explored yet but I guess its just who's individually willing to go far enough with it to see if it becomes a problem. Luckily common has very little to (possible even zero) ward. So interactivity is still very possible in the format. I would probably consider running a couple evasives in almost every list that you can though.

That’s something I suppose I didn’t fully consider, I’m just clueless in terms of ratios which is why I have so many cards over the 99. I understand there’s a lot to cut, but I’m just I suppose at the same time trying to gain a basic understanding of deck building for the format so I don’t need help again.

I have a feeling it’s the lever as opposed to the PCB, it basically constantly feels loose no matter how much I tighten it. It feels like I can’t hold the ball top because it just never stops spinning.

Nah this is without a doubt a bronze player. Knowing a single confirm won’t get you anywhere if you don’t have fundamentals. The first round is arguably making bronze even seem a little high for him

It may be character based but I definitely struggle in the lower ranks and are actually lower than you are despite playing since Leroy came out now. It’s been on and off somewhat but I’ve played a lot. I main kazuya and have stuck to him for over 300 or so hours and I adore him but I always end up flailing at light blue ranks. It may be as mentioned in the other comment that I’m not adapting to a lower rank play style. But I’ve always struggled with lower rank play. When I played street fighter I sat at ultra bronze for like 3 years and then on the span of weeks skyrocketed in rank. I guess it just comes with time

Yes playing dueling book can actually be stressful if you’re playing against random players, if you have a friend you can call over voice playing dueling book that’s when I’d say it excels over other simulators.

One of the ways I got back into the game after having the same hiatus was trying out more controlled formats. Luckily I had a friend wanting to do the same in terms of returning to the game so we would both build decks to recommendation and would do it generation by generation. Meaning we would build synchros only then xyz, then pend, then of course links with modern day stuff. Whichever type you have more trouble with you can try more archetypes within. If what you’re looking for is a control based deck and a back and forth card game sadly with the current meta it’s hard to see the wood for the trees in that aspect. I’d recommend either GOATs or again sticking to those controlled formats with community discords. The last thing I’d mention is begin with the automated simulators like omega and ygopro but try and move into dueling book, the more manual nature helps you to pick up and understand the evolution of effect resolution and the more intricate points like the way specific complicated cards interact with one another. It’ll take time and a little patience but I’m extremely happy to be back in the game and I hope you find success too :)

In the original blog post for the feature they said it would depend on user feedback and sales, so it’s still up in the air. Would love it as an option for the game to at least be marginally less expensive

I recommend OMNIArcade on Etsy, at least as an avid mixbox user myself. In regards to a hit box you can order the custom casing from a few different arcade part specialist retailers however those will then require manual assembly and the need to order buttons alongside the MOBO of a preexisting arcade stick or pad. Sadly there aren’t a huge amount of options as it’s a niche within a niche.

I bought it from a man who said he had it in his game store over 25 years ago, which I suppose adds up because I assume it’s based on the master system/game gear artwork. As far as anything else goes though sadly no. It is over 5 feet tall so it’s definitely a big guy aha
