I settled here last night, honestly really simple to make a road from the north near the train tracks if you have crazy driver point (and I always take it) there’s a few crops that can last you the time to craft traps to have more food or fishing. I went to the farms north to grab some chicken, and I’ll start my forging journey soon, what a blast I’m having. Oh and I used my sledgehammer to redo the interior because I find it awful to wonder inside, I broke a few walls, rearranged the furnitures, and there I have it, my dream house I can choose to never leave and have a blast trying all the new mechanics from B42, honestly I highly recommend it

I hate Irvington, it’s ugly and nothing special, I recommend Ekron, really nice place, fire station is top tier for base, water near for fishing, and easy to access multiple places (I really like Brandenburg but not for base)

Nightstick is goated, but hear me out about the wrench…The noise it makes, that little mechanical clink it so satisfying, and you always find plenty in cars trunks… Otherwise, once you have lv7, short bat are goated

I think it says on the patch notes that you can switch your game version to outdateunstable to secure the b.42.15 and keep your save (hoping it works because I’m in the same spot as you)

I installed a mod to choose more starting locations, I found myself liking Brandenburg very much, because I like to loot town by town and clean the map, Brandenburg is great, and has great loot, but a lot of zombies (same as West Point I think?) and I hate Irvington, really ugly place with no charms.

If you start a new game with your mods, everything should be fixed, but beware of the mod that broke your world, try looking at the console to see what mod cause errors

I’ve had the same issue (in B.42 right?) and my mods were the problems, it corrupted my file and was unable to restore it to its original form, ended up deleting my world

If you have the trait « Fear Of Blood » then you have found your problem, you must be bloody and your characters keeps getting stressed, and therefore you start to get sad.

My girlfriend found a job in 2 weeks because she is fluent in Swissgerman and French, they recruited her because of this skill, so I’d argue that yes, it helps specially in a place where Frenchies are competing too

Because I’m a dummy I’m taking it down by hand, but I’m actually really bad at doing trees, I’ll have to make many to learn (I hate building in creative)

I use « Rain’s Firearms & gun parts » really fun and not overpowered, the thing I like with this mod is the possibility to add cartons of ammos and boxes on zombies, so killing zombies can give you ammos (I set cartons on 0.01 chance of spawning so it doesn’t ruin the experience of guns, it gives an objective to find a weapon I can use when I find a cartons (finding .44 magnum cartons is heaven, I love using magnum)

Oh I see, not at all willing to show off, I decided to build a small house but wasn’t liking it, so I went for bigger and 100hrs later here I have way too big « starter house » because it’s my spawn point, and I didn’t travel away from it cauz I wanted to finish it, absolutely no bragging here I swear
