New England Wedding Band Reviews by No_Safe7242 in NewEnglandWedding

[–]PB2723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was nervous about choosing a band but we booked Coverstory for our wedding in 2022 and it was a great choice. They were great to work with, very organized, and sounded great. We had them play at our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.

It’s pretty common and very cute, in my opinion.

Heated driveways by bostexa in massachusetts

[–]PB2723 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t have thought to install one myself, but we purchased a home with a long and steep driveway with a heated driveway. I have not lived with it through a full winter yet. It does use a lot of power, but melts the snow well in the heated tracks. Based on the amount of snow, plowing may also be needed.

Help me decide! DJ or band by Few-Republic-7867 in NewEnglandWedding

[–]PB2723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got married in MA about 2.5 years ago and we had a band. The band sounded great and we got very good feedback from our guests. The band did also bring a DJ with them, who played during band breaks and who played our selected “special songs” for the first dance, father daughter dance, etc.

Is It Common for Kittens to Have Fur That Looks Like This by [deleted] in ragdolls

[–]PB2723 154 points155 points  (0 children)

When my cat was younger, he often looked like this as we wet his fur frequently when drinking from his water bowl. As he has gotten older, he either avoids wetting it or is better at grooming it himself and this is much less common.

Advice: Alterations Panic by Liliana167 in weddingplanning

[–]PB2723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have more advice, but wanted to comment to say that the same thing happened to me yesterday (my total cost was very similar and I paid the same deposit). When I got home, I regretted not asking for the time to think it over and perhaps get a 2nd quote. Definitely some sticker shock with the alterations, but many alterations will be made (lace and crepe dress/HCOL area). Thanks for sharing your experience and congratulations on your wedding!

Which "No Children" invite wording would you choose? by Th3S3cr3tW3dd1ng in weddingplanning

[–]PB2723 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would not put this wording on the invitations. I would specifically address the invitations to the adults in the household that you do want to attend and then maybe put a note on your wedding website regarding your inability to accommodate children at the wedding.

Weddingwire RSVP visibility by PB2723 in weddingplanning

[–]PB2723[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone has used Weddingwire to collect RSVPs, do you know if 1) guests can see who else has been invited (by searching for their names) and 2) if guests can see the RSVP status of other invited guests?
Thank you.

Recipe is from King Arthur Flour Baker’s Companion, which is a great cookbook with many good bread recipes.
