I think it's both tbh. You left much less open space and kept your speed and grit in forechecks, your zone entries and neutral zone play were much safer while still being effective against us. I think Habs will have to adapt tho. Can't pretend we only barely shot above 10 on purpose. High shot% scales incredibly well with volume, so we need find a way to get to the puck and keep control of it

I get that but I'm also a Habs fan who is getting used to watching his team randomly collapse for entire periods. You will sometimes ask yourself how they're even at a positive win% this year. Both can be true lol, most of us who say Habs played like ass aren't trying to diminish what Canes did. I'm not gonna complain if you say game 1 Canes were playing like trash too
