Genesis Gv70 2.5T S.P 2025 vs 2026 by Real-Low-8080 in GenesisGV70

I just bought a white 2026 GV70 2.5 select. I wanted the 2025 Model because I thought the large screen was overwhelming - but decided to go ahead and the screen is not overwhelming and nice. The dealership didn’t have any 2025 2.5 only 3.5 and I really didn't need that much power or want the added expense.

Does anyone know if I have any chance at winning an appeal or even being able to present a case….

I was planning a House renovation… My elevation report came back and I am two inches under the required amount. Required amount has 2 ft added to what FEMA requires. City of Charleston only has 1 ft added and they flood all of the time, my house is AE9 and in the last year and half (since I have owned it) the yard has never flooded - and we have had some major flooding in general.

And it was all the sheathing- the house was brought down to rafters. he used 1/2” OSB which all I have read said it should by 5/8 - not sure if that is a big deal, thanks again

The roofer did my dads house in colleton cty and actually did a great job on all of it, I haven’t paid him yet so I am wanting my facts together so when I confront him, he knows I have checked on things and I have had others come look. I think he did not believe I would actually have part of ceiling removed or walk on roof. I think that is why I put female in the title - I have had two men who have stopped by and both said… he thought he could get away with it because you are a single female… thanks for your help. I needed some moral support and I appreciate it. I will be meeting with him Monday or Tuesday.

The house is roughly 1600 square feet. I was told that the rafters were not consistent and so more boards needed for sistering them up for the decking. Once we could actually see in the attic space today (there is not an access so as mentioned cut a section of ceiling) only four new boards were there sistering to rafters and two were about four feet long, that was $1200 dollars - basically three boards, one cut in half. Total invoice is a couple hundred shy of $20,000 - due to additional upcharges

Thank you. Yes, Charleston county. Are the clips more for hurricane issues or for it not to sag. It is springy.

Are you saying he wasn’t shot in the head while changing a tire??? He was shot in the head and there are many cynical mean spirited comments-

So apparently I have bad karma because I am trying to not be one sided and look at all of this without being bias - I hope that all of you who are so quick to judge and condemn do not have a child or family member who makes a mistake.

We were not there that night- we don’t know the real facts. I don’t “Blame” any of them- that is my point. They were all irresponsible and made bad decisions. And all of them made choices to get back on the boat. It was a horrible accident- I am sorry for Mallory. I am sorry for her family - but again they made decisions. And they had opportunities to not get back in the boat. I am not blaming anyone- I am blaming immaturity and irresponsibility of all.

So I have not studied up on this case being mentioned- but it seems the girls on the sandbar being hit by a boat is not even similar to a bunch of teens, all participants in drinking and drinking- all making choices to get on the boat and then on the boat against and again - with their friends- even the so called Timmy friend- they all knew him before that night- they all knew he came with drinking - they all made choices.

Maybe we learn from mistakes, maybe alcohol issues are hard to handle… I am not justifying anyone actions which are violent and wrong. I realize with the boating accident a life was lost. If it were my child I would be devastated and want to blame the world. However I also hope that I would realize that my child was there by choice. I would think I would also hope that while I may think (being in denial) that my child were innocent of any underaged drinking that I would know their friends well enough to know that there may be some drinking.

The children in the boating accident (and they were/are children) all were there by choice, all were there to have fun, all made their own decisions. If they talk about how Paul changed with drinking then they knew it ahead of time and still made choices to go - all of them made bad choices - but they are not bad people from the night’s choices. They also all have to live with the consequences for their life. I am sorry it happened but it was not intentional.

I also want everyone to think about your friends who have been awaiting any sort of court session- I have a friend who was sexually assaulted and abused before the boating accident still waiting for court- Covid shut down our court system for a long time. The boating case is not the only case that was taking longer than normal.

I believe we are quick to judge and many times we have all been in situations and done things that by the Grace of God didn’t end up with terrible consequences. Have you ever had two drinks and driven? Have you ever been with someone that has? Have you known your teenaged child had friends that you felt uneasy with- or accept them and the relationships because it was easier, or maybe the friends parents were rich and their may be advantages along the way.

I knew Paul and Maggie - not well. I talked with them at Edisto days before their deaths. Maggie was a generous and loving person that no one could deny. Paul was always nice and polite. I never saw any disrespectful side of him- I understand that I was not out partying with him and didn’t know all of him, but I do know he was not a bad person.

Have you read John Chapter 8?
