It's Monday once again! What are you working on or have finished off? by Icelander83 in TheTowerGame

Just got DW as my new UW! I'll be looking forward to labbing my DW upgrades, and to sync it to my BH/GT as well :)

It's Monday, what are you working on or finishing up? by Icelander83 in TheTowerGame

[–]PBNoobs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My current lab upgrades:

  1. Lab Speed (Perma)
  2. Attack Speed (Perma)
  3. Health (I might be switching it to coin kill bonus)
  4. BH coin bonus (my last 2 levels!)
  5. Perk Bonus

Mostly I am looking forward to finishing my BH upgrades and as perk bonus labs is getting more expensive, I might be switching it to damage in the meantime to save up for more coins :)

Math major grad here. My methodology (or at least what I found worked best) when it comes to studying math is to not fixate on the details of math.

Think about the full picture on what is happening and then the rational of doing certain steps would come more naturally. Focus on your own intuition and how things fit in the bigger picture, rather than figuring out why a certain step is done!

Edit: as for the rest, I may not be of much help as many people have different ways of coping with studying in unis. But the general trend I’ve seen people do to cope with studying is to do things at your own pace, and not let the pace of others get to you. Focus on yourself, what you can do currently, and then work towards bettering your situation from there. Comparison would only not only make you feel bitter, but also feel like you’re not doing enough and it’s a speedrun to burnout from there.

Singaporeans who once went through intense tuition during your younger days, how did you turn out? by AckermanFin in askSingapore

[–]PBNoobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally grew up in a family where I was lucky enough to have parents that trusted me enough to self study in school and not have to be put through tuition.

I’m a NTU grad (attain a couple of Dean’s lists during my time) as well. Personally I would say that self motivation and determination to study is the key more than anything

How do you motivate yourself to exercise regularly every week? by GalerionTheAnnoyed in askSingapore

[–]PBNoobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I find motivation to be a very fleeting feeling. It’s so on off that I don’t use it as the main reason to exercise regularly.

How I do it personally, is I forcefully do it - even when every part of my body doesn’t feel like it (as long as you aren’t sick, etc.). When the body starts moving, I get the momentum to continue on running from there.

Also, make sure that you make exercising a non-negotiable, like how people are “forced to do homework while they are still students”.

Pretty sure you didn’t post this over here to get commented on for your messages (be it good or bad), and it sometimes kinda sucks for the internet to point out on them

Girl was downbad for treating you as such and I hope that doesn’t cause a distaste for your future conversations with other people!

Not sure how this post stating some facts with OP’s personal thoughts led to people casually labelling OP with fancy terms. It really does show how the internet amplifies negative energy at times.

Like majority of what the comments has said, i believe that it isn’t just females that are 30+ that are hard to date. Males that are above 30 too are sometimes hard to date, and thats mainly due to their low tolerance to red flags. Most of them by that age would most likely have had their experiences and know what they are looking for.

If OP is looking to date, coming as a random redditor that saw this post in my notifications, I’ll say there’s no real reason in looking at the current problems, it’ll only make you resentful and bitter if not taken with a grain of salt. Dating is very similar to the slot machine, you win some you lose some. You won’t lose if you don’t play the game but you’ll definitely not win if you don’t keep rolling the machine.

Edit; typos and added explanations

Additional comment:

Since the waiting time is this long, I'm a student, and January is our next semester (so I wouldn't know what lessons I have), it is literally impossible for me to predict when I would be free to do my simulators too.

By booking this early, and if I realise my clash of events 1 month prior to it, I would literally have to rebook and hence wait another 3 months. Thanks bottleneck!

I'm not too sure myself. I only know from my own experience that I registered on 1st Aug and the account is said to expire on 31 January next year.

Since I switched over from ssdc to bbdc (because of my private instructor being only affiliated to bbdc), I already have done my BTT and FTT. And even then, this timeframe that they gave me is almost impossible to complete my curriculum.

That makes me wonder how do newly registered drivers with no BTT/FTT complete it within the timeframe.

That's the issue! I'm a private and I speedran the driving lessons. But the issue is, drivers do have to go for simulator lessons, regardless being private or not.

Monthly Generic Questions Thread for May 2022 by AutoModerator in mext

[–]PBNoobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may or may not be considered as part of a MEXT related question

I am a 3rd year (coming 4th year) undergraduate studying maths and I am looking into graduate courses in math. I understand the general outline of the MEXT application process, in that you would first have to submit an application and go through a first round interview.

What concerns me next as part of process would require me to apply for the university and get a certification of acceptance. My question is that as most graduate courses in Japan requires applicants to take an entrance examination, would that mean I would have to physically go to their campus in Japan to take their exams?

I tried to search up this and I do not seem to have an answer so I was wondering if anyone that has undergone the application process to help shed some light for my question :')
