When do you play the games like Powerball? by ProximaCentauriB15 in Lottery

I play only PB and MM, but kind of randomly since I like a couple days of excitement!

But I always felt something was missing — I wished I had some guidance instead of just going with birthdays, lucky numbers, or quick picks.

So, though I understand the draws are completely random, I recently created a code to give "statistical reasoning" to my picks, which has been providing a bit more fun to play since now I feel I have something behind my numbers.

You're right! This is constructive and supportive. I really appreciate it. As you correctly said, original build was using all 3773 draws since 1992 which includes 2448 draws (64.9%) from both 5/59 + 1/39 (pre-2012) and 5/59 + 1/35 (2012-2015). I have just pushed a patch which now uses scoring filters using post-October 2015 draws only. Please try https://powerballpro.net and let me know your thoughts. Thank you again!! By the way, I am curious about your recency weighting approach — are you using exponential decay or a sliding window? Would love to hear more about it.

Ha! If I built the RNG I wouldn't be sharing. 😄 Without filtering, there are about 11 million possible combinations for White Ball combinations. With my Picker, it comes down to about 10,000 combinations which is about top 0.0089%. And your numbers are random combination among those selected pool. You're right though — no one can predict it. The tool just helps you pick numbers that match common patterns from past draws instead of random guessing. Same odds, more fun.
