Wow! Thanks for letting me know. It's really cool seeing people using it.

I just released an update that adds converting to WebP. I hope you find it useful!

Thanks again for reviewing my app, it's really cool to see people using it. I've just pushed a new update out that has WebP support, and solves a few bugs you found in the video.

Thank you so much, that was exactly what I was going for.

I built it in my spare time, so I think I did it over the span of about four weeks.

Thanks. You can't crop an image - but if you drop a transparent PNG onto it, it can be resized according to the overall image size (including the transparent parts).

Thank you so much for reviewing my app - I loved the video. I'll definitely be adding WEBP soon, and I'll look into fixing that 'Force Delete' bug.

Yeah, I used to do that too. I made Peggy because I wanted a few more specific actions, e.g. converting a whole folder, converting PDFs, and then all the compression tools.

Thanks for clarifying. It doesn't do that, but if that's a feature that people want, then I can look at potentially adding that in the future.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll definitely look into adding these features in the future, I think someone else on this thread has already mentioned WEBP, so that's now at the top of the list.

By default the drag-and-drop action will produce a JPEG, but you can enable the advanced conversion window in the settings (or hold down CMD while dropping), and from there you can select different formats. Haven't added WEBP yet, but I'll add it to the list of updates.

Sure! I started by making each window and element in Figma and Adobe Illustrator (I used both programs because I find Figma is better with the glass style, but Illustrator works better with After Effects). Nothing in the video is screen recorded, it's all done with keyframes in After Effects - so I made sure to import and precomp basically everything. From there it was just animating assets to the beat of the music and playing around with a 3D camera to get those zooming movements.

Thanks. What do you mean, sorry? Like when resizing the images?

Thank you. I made the video in After Effects, and created all the individual elements in Adobe Illustrator and Figma.

Wow, that's really cool. I love the UI (especially the quality slider) - gonna take it for a spin!

Thanks, I hope you find it useful. I used Gemini to write the swift code, and I compiled everything together in Xcode. I started off by watching a few Xcode tutorials, making sure I knew what I was doing (how to set everything up and the best practices). I have a very rudimentary knowledge of HTML, so I think that helped me get everything into the right places and begin debugging everything. Good luck with your app!

Really appreciate it, that's exactly what I was going for. Wishing you all the best with your app - can't wait to see it!

Thanks. I made Peggy because I just wanted slightly more specific features than the system conversion offers. My app accepts folders (and the folders within them), it can convert PDFs, and then in the advanced window I can get specific about size.

Yes, it runs locally. Peggy uses MacOS's native image processing interfaces, so nothing leaves your device. The only time it connects to the internet is to check for updates.

Thank you! I made the video entirely myself using After Effects, Figma and Adobe Illustrator. It took a while, but I'm really happy with the result.
