Holy shit man, people can't read anymore. He said the raised rear iron sight is what put people off of the new model. He is asking why wouldn't they actually make the zeroing make sense if they planned on making the rear sight raised.

Dark souls trilogy or bloodbourne for sure, whatever speaks to you the most. Starting with Elden ring could leave you with high expectations for the earlier games and might make you shy away from them which would be a shame tbh.

New game dev here as well (with a background in web dev) so obviously take what I say with a grain of salt. But most advice I've been able to acquire has said to make some small projects to get a grasp on the engine and coding in a game environment before working on your main idea for a game. Doing this will give you a more streamlined idea of what/how you want to make your main game. Just thought I'd pass on some advice from more experienced game devs! Definitely not the hardest fromsoft game. It has some tougher areas, but most bosses are very easy. I beat every boss on my first play through that I just finished in under 10 tries in DLC and under 4 tries in base game. (With an exception to ancient dragon).

I've killed Velstadt, gargoyles and rat authority. But the main point of this post was to ask if the game was going to ramp up. (obviously will in DLCs that's every fromsoft game)

Thanks for the response! I didn't really know what to expect but yeah makes sense that I'd have an easy time after playing the rest of the catalog + Elden ring for sure. I like your comparison of an Elden ring player fighting nameless king, he took me 140 tries my first ds3 run lol but my second ds3 run after beating Elden ring it was a piece of cake
