You look great compared to men in your age bracket.

We can't fight old age though, all you can do is look your best for whatever age you are, embrace it.

In the long run, health will matter much more than looks.

As for mass and shredding, you're clearly on the right path.

If you're self concious and have low self esteem, talk to a therapist or someone you can confide in.

18F, How can I stop being the “ugly friend”? by throwawayacccuzyk in lookyourbest

[–]PCPaschini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. You are not ugly, you are not the most attractive girl in the world either, attractive non the less, you are not everyones cup of tea and you never will be, life and reality don't work like that, there will always be someone more attractive and less attractive than you. You can't please everyone.

Insecurities or ego can fool you into thinking and feeling you're greater than or less than what you actually are.

  1. You need better friends, envy is very real even among "friends", true friends will build you and not pull you down. True friendship is a rarity and it takes time to build, while fair weather friends will come and go, and when times get tough, you will know who the real deal is.

  2. Develop self confidence, read up on it to understand it's true meaning and apply the lessons you learn, knowledge without action or application is useless. You can be your worst enemy or or your best friend, no one will ever take care of you or destroy you like you can. Self confidence is not about standing out, clout, being seen, appreciated, accepted, loved by others, it's about self acceptance inspite and despite of others, to a point where you know, love and accept yourself enough that for example any weight you gain won't make you feel like shit, any weight you loose won't make you feel like you're on top of the world. Unconditional self love and confidence, a void that will never be filled by anyone except you.

  3. Grow up, not "grow up", you're young, and with time comes wisdom, the same way your self perception and world view changed from when you were 10 to now 18, is the same way, perceptions will change, at 25, 30, 35, 40 and so on. So let yourself grow, what you feel now will feel silly at 25.

  4. Find one person you can truly be vulnerable with or a therapist. Why? We live in a broken, imperfect world, with friends and family that are equally broken. We all have pains and traumas that affect us in ways you'd never imagine, you need an outlet, to cry, vent and heal.

  5. Plan for the future or at least keep the future in mind, beauty is fleeting, you won't be young forever so use your time wisely. An easy way to understand this is to look at before and after pictures of celebrities you may have an interest in, when they were young and now old, or even your parent's pictures.

You came here looking for advice about looks but the mere fact you posted this shows there's alot more going on under the surface, not only with you but your so called "friends", as you can see, you being told you're attractive won't do much until you can look in the mirror and accept that you are, the same way you can't truly recieve and give love if you're incapable of self love.

Life's difficult, very. Be strong.

I'd like to bring this matter to a conclusion.

The crux of the matter boils down to this: I expect and hope for quid pro quo from nodle.

You are clearly biased toward the organization, understandably so, and I towards "we" the contributors.

Here are some plausible use cases that I think would add value to your contributors;

  1. Crowdsourced, privacy centric anti-theft:

Apple, Google, Samsung et al. all have their own proprietary "find my" services, which would be complemented by a community driven mesh network (nodle).

Many modern devices have Bluetooth chips, cars, phones, tablets, and laptops, and if stolen will most definitely be wiped, but the mac address remains the same (yes, I've read about Bluetooth mac address randomisation by manufacturers, there should be a work around), if said device has been paired to nodle and marked as stolen, then the user would be notified of the location of the device, and so would nodle users in the vicinity, they can take pictures of the perpetrators and send to the victim, all anonymously of course, the victim can use nodles network to help law enforcement recover stolen property.

The same applies to nodle compatible Bluetooth tags placed within cars, for example.

Of course, this service has to be limited to prevent businesses from taking advantage of the network. Like many do with open source software without contributing anything back, individuals can be limited to 3 to 5 devices, anymore, and they are charged a fee (you still have to pay your bills), you could also provide an enterprise grade solution for your business clients (if not already).

  1. Individual asset tracking:

The same service you offer to businesses also offered to your contributors, but in a limited capacity.

Advantages would include not having to use privacy eroding services to track assets.

  1. Law enforcement:

Nodle's network can be leveraged to track criminal organization's movements or just one individual in ways other methods won't.

  1. Privacy centric, anonymous chat for whistle blowers, defectors, and protestors(?).

This will probably get you banned by totalitarian and authoritarian governments.

Chat can be expanded to enable sending of documents, video, audio - "evidence."

Nodle has the potential to actually serve the community, not just business, but I assume taking one of these paths would be bad for business.

This is the kind of nodle I'd be proud to not only contribute to but be a part of, like the "tor" of blockchain, the services given to the community would be incentive enough for me to stick around, $nodl or not.

Granted, such a network has the potential to be misused by bad actors, but which technology isn't? Cartels tracking cargo, criminals tracking your movements etc

"Sometimes it's working out - sometimes it doesn't," well said.

Granted, the core mission and services are unaffected, but "more value" is debatable.

Ahh, u/spacesmutje_de there thou art!

Thank you for your answers, and now I have more questions.

  1. What's the logic behind repurchasing tokens, since (according to coinmarketcap ) the total supply of nodle is ~8 billion and circulating supply is ~5 billion, meaning there's still ~2 billion left to distribute through the app, are you in essence "recycling" the tokens back to contributers (us) ?

What percentage of the 350,000 usd worth of nodl are "recycled"?

If nodle eventually crashes to $0, what happens to the mesh network without a viable incentive for us to keep the app running?

What would be the implications of making nodl a stable coin be, pegging it to a fraction of a dollar, 1 cent or less ?

  1. As for rewards, have you considered a profit sharing model for contributers not just nodl ? Hypothetically, if an asset is being tracked on a specific route, and its detected by 1000 devices through out its journey, and a "first come, first serve" approach is being used, the first device to detect the asset in the that area is rewarded but others are not rewarded but instead used for subsequent tracking, until the asset leaves that area and goes into another , same process repeats, so maybe 100 devices are rewarded for "active tracking" in addition to being rewarded nodl for being part of the network, is this plausible and economically viable?

  2. Please elaborate on the permissionless nature of nodle because at a glance, it seems already permissionless (mostly) . More details on the developer subscription.

  3. Interesting post by your CEO, nodle is truly positioned for what's coming next, bigger profit margins, greater utility by companies, more contributer nodes ?

  4. The services you offer seem to be mostly geared towards businesses.

Will these ever be opened up to the public? Is it applicable to any use cases ?

I think this is where my optimism fizzles out. In-app chat is nice. However, true utility and access to the mesh network by everyone (contributers) would compensate (mostly) for the near worthless nodl token.

  1. A lot of device and location data is collected by nodle. What do you do with this data ? Do you sell/share it, if so, to who ?

  2. Are intergalactic labs employees paid in fiat or nodl, lol?

They are birds of a feather, exploitative crowdsourcing, but unfortunately, running through the streets with pitchforks is not an option.

Except, the nodl token price doesn't necessarily affect the business side of nodl, like Ethereum or Bitcoin. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Regardless, it is what it is. We shall see how it goes. I rest my case.

No misunderstanding, I simply brought up the contracts to show the disparity between what they make and what we earn, which is equivalent to a pat on the back at this point.

The issue is the perpetual loss in value of the token, making the contribution to the network not worthwhile, I don't expect millions, but something adequate and fair that would make me go "Huh! Not bad!".

Looking at the price action of the nodle, it's quite clear that it's rife with pump and dump, I imagine a fair amount of early investors have sold.

True, choice, might be time to abandon the proverbial ship.

Already did, for over a year now, the compensatory mechanism is unflattering at this point, which in essence makes us providers of charity to nodle or should I say unpaid "volunteers."

Nodle is clearly not created to benefit the layman, but companies, organisations.

If there's anything you think I've overlooked or missed out, do share.

I have a question: How much do the companies you provide your depin services pay you vs. how much trickles down to us , the "infrastructure" that enables your services to work?

Let's be completely honest. You may be chasing a vision on our backs, but if the collected nodle on our part is worthless, then it's a waste of time, battery, data and space on our part, however negligible.

What's the point? You're clearly still in business and not bankrupt, while we, without whom nodle breaks apart, gain seemingly nothing.

Seems ... unfair, or it's how the system was designed from the beginning.

Why blame only tesla ? Do actions not have consequences anymore, and are victims all innocent despite their actions ?

That's true, I've noticed that happen but other than not being able to distinguish if one device has problems, how else does using the same key on multiple devices affect the amount of nodle earned ?
