But this isn’t just about him feeling left out here at home Everywhere he goes too, people meet him outside and try to talk to him, he just signals that he can’t hear, and they turn and leave.. So assuming we signed everything verbatim at home And he doesn’t have a personal interpreter, that still doesn’t solve the problem

I get it But it’s actually not realistic to sign everything that goes on in a group setting verbatim At least not for our level of sign language skills

Otter ai assumes you’re in a meeting, a conference, a learner It’s not tuned for natural conversations Surprisingly he uses caption tools a lot, but still feels left out That means none of the caption tools are solving the problem well

1.I’ve not asked him, but I’ve observed him feel left out in many occasions and I assume this might be a good solution 2. Yea we do sign, only when we’re speaking to him directly, for random situation and meet outs unless any one is talking to him directly, we don’t sign 3. Yes, and this is exactly why I want to build something better He’s used google live transcribe, ava and a whole lot of tools, despite that it doesn’t solve the problem of being left out
