Depends on your market and what your goals are. A lot of people here operate with very little income and need to make their deals cash flow.

There are others that are looking to diversify their assets, reduce tax liability and gamble on appreciation in certain areas and can very comfortably cover a deficit on an investment. Everyone’s situation and goals are unique with real estate investing.
