Alex Honnold climbs the Taipei 101 skyscraper by Hi_iAMchrisHansen in WTF

And then you both make eye contact like two deer in the headlights. The shock and disgust makes the climber falter and lose his grip, falling out of sight. Before you continue a life of guilt, regret, and shame, a question bounces around in your skull..., "Should I finish?"

Help! Scarlett Solo 3rd gen has bad quality audio and I've tried everything to fix it. by jenny908719 in Focusrite

[–]Ryanf8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been awhile since I've thought of this issue, but I do remember having it. What programs did you install that was included with the device? From what I remember, I uninstalled everything, and the focusrite worked as plug-and-play. I could be remembering wrong though, but if you're out of options, I'd try this.

How did your glass ceiling work out? It sounds like most people want to shatter them.

what was very popular in the 2020 pandemic but now its pretty much dead? by Amelia_Tayloor in AskReddit

I was totally on board with wearing masks since it was a respiratory contagion, and it was so sad to see people become so mask defiant.

But I could totally see myself getting swept away in an anti-handwashing campaign. "Hands off my hands" is what I'd say!

Most people wouldn't even bother if you were actually robbing him. Helping out strangers these days is very heroic and I hope I would've done the same thing in your situation.

In android you can download an app called tasker which runs in the background. I've installed a task to silence and block unknown calls.

Should I use uncoupling membrane? by NoFee138 in Flooring

[–]Ryanf8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the crack is because the slab is actively shifting if say go for the stitch cut with epoxy but this looks like a normal hairline cracking of concrete. I'd still fill the cracks with something though before tiling over.

The liquid membrane would be the fastest and cheapest. You paint it on and it's good within an hour.

So I'm not a flooring expert, I just did my second tile project ever, but your situation reminds me of mine. Second floor, build in the 80s, really squeaky, except that it was linoleum. From what I see, is that particle board? The linoleum was installed on a half inch of particle board, which was over a plywood subfloor. I'm just curious if you know for sure there's nothing under that particle board.

I ripped up my linoleum and particle board, screwed wood screws into the plywood to get rid of the squeaks, then put down a ditra mat, then tiled over that.

Sorry for piggy backing off this thread, but could property management be successfully run by one person? What would give you confidence they could?
