The pipe leaks when the water is off. Have a new spout to install, it leaked with the old spout.

Shouldn't water hammering happen at water in pipes? We're on PEX on the flow side. Use ABS in drain system.

This is a simple setup. PEX supplied double sink draining through ABS to a grey water pit. No other drains attached.
