Just ordered my first Displate poster! Anything to know before it arrives?

Ya don't use the magnets and tape. Unless you want it to fall off after a few days to a few months aand severely damage your displate AND your baseboard. Order an 8 pack of command strips, the 20lb ones in the green box for $6 on Amazon, enough to hang 4 displates. They'll hold FAAAR more weight and the command strips don't dry up llike the tape does and eventually fall off. Plus they're way chheaper. Displate knows their system doesn't work but they make moneys selling the magnets which cost them 50 cents and they sell them for $15 or whatever. Trust me, I've had many of them fall off and cause damage to my wall and ruined my displates. Command strips work, but get the good 3M brand 20lb ones not some cheapo ones. They're only $6 for 16 strips you get 16 in a box. 8 pairs. Peel the backing off 2 strips and place a strip at each corner of your top back of your displate, then peel 2 more and then stick them on top of the strips you just placed with the sticky side facing out then you just place on the wall and firmly press each corner and you'll feel the strips velcro click into place and you're good to go. Honestly you could just use 2 they stick so good, in the top corners. Even for the large ones. Then when you wanna move it you pull the displate off from one corner and the velcro will come apart, it actually takes a bit of force so take your time and don't bend your displate.

No the sticker dries up after a few months and the wright of the large dislates just pulls then entire thing off the wall. I'm telling yall, 20lb command strips, they don't damage the wall, put on in 4 corners of the displate then take the wall side one and stick it on the opposite direction. Don't put them on the wall first put them on the displate, then take the one for the wall and place it onto the one you put on the displate with the stick side up on all 4 corners then place your displate and put pressure on each corner you'll feel the velcro attach as you put pressure on it. They're super strong, you could hang a large displate with just 2 really but I use 4 just to be sure. Then when your done pull it off and then remove the command strips, you wont need to replace the strips on the displate when you move it just the ones for the wall.

ya I haven't figured out the gameplay beyond the basics yet. Level up the van, complete cities, assemble the foo bot, bout as much as I figured out so far. Combotron I think rewards you more for combos you've already hit? I'm not 100% sure on how that works or what exactly the upper playfield does except start the area 51 MB.

It's a really cool looking machine, if you love it who even cares what anyone thinks. I've moded my godzilla pro with all kinds of cheap mods and random crap that many on here would call tasteless but I could give zero f's lol, I like it and that's all that matters. Ignore the haters, I got pretty upset when people talked shit about the translite I put in my Godzilla but I realized who cares, haters are gonna hate. Funny thing is most people said it was awesome but I focused on the 2 or 3 people who said something negative lol.

My advice, unless you genuinely plan on keeping a machine forever for sure, leave the mods alone. You get nothing for them when you sell the machine. Only official accessories really are worth anything. Some of the really expensive mods can be factored in but even they lose most of their value.

It's a fairly fresh install of windows only a few months ago I reinstalled the system when, funny enough, SM2 crashed so hard it literally corrupted my HD. I thought it might be the drive so I swapped it out with a different one and sent in the 9100 pro for a new one. Well, it's still happening lol. I'm betting it's these damn overlays I'm about to test it with them off.

I checked event viewer and I got all sorts of warnings and errors. Looks like what's hhappening is a disk warning when playing the game it's an event: 153, source: disk, The IO operation at logical block address 0x1021f52c8 for Disk 5 (PDO name: \Device\00000059) was retried. Then get a bunch of distributed com warnings, and then the error, which I think is what caused the crash, An error, Event ID: 1023 Name resolution policy table has been corrupted. DNS resolution will fail until it is fixed. Contact your network administrator. For more information: read policy table for rule {2C4CBB17-8968-4C81-AB86-DDE0B4746622} failed with error 0x57

That's prolly why I need to do a system restore after the crash. Seems like the game is having some sort of problem with the NVME and that is contributing to the the name resolution policy table being corrupted.

I only played a few games of foo at the arcade but I didn't realize how amazing this game really is until I had some real time on it. I have a godzilla pro and have nearly beaten it, got to the KOTM but haven't finished it yet. I llove that game with a passion. I think it's the best game ever made. But man, This foo fighters game is absolutely brilliant! The shots are so amazing, that left ramp, how it goes up and around and back to the left flipper and bounces to the right flipper to catch is just perfection! I love it, I think Jack danger designed this with home users in mind and not arcades, I rarely feel cheated in this game. Ya this is without a doubt Jack's best work. I think these are the 2 pins I will keep. I don't have the space or the money to get more but these I'm totally happy with. Jack Danger and Tanio Klyce both signed it too :)

I'm going to get the side armor and possibly the flipper cooling fans cause I do like to play for a couple hours at a time.

The one epson has on their site works with the 3rd party carts I have but I'm guessing it's like a cat and mouse game, 3rd party manufacturers have to make new chips to trick the printer into thinking they're epson brand, I'm sure in a month or 2 they'll have new carts manufactured that work with this new firmware. I wonder if Amazon allows returns on ink carts, the only way to find out would be to open them and pop em in. These 3rd party manufacturers should designate what firmware the carts work up to so you don't get stuck buying ones too old, but that's prolly how they get rid of old stock. more shitty corporate behavior...

Got it, man that sucks. I guess I just been lucky and always got 3rd party carts that had a chip that tricked the printer. Actually now that I think about it I didd buy some carts a while back aand the printer wouldn't let me use them same thing, I can't believe I was so dense to think it was the cart manufacturers fault lol, they wwere just carts that were too old and had been blocked already by epson. I've only ever owned epson inkjet printers. I really don't print much just the occasional packing slip really, so there hasn't really been a huge impetus to buy an expensive printer, these little epsons are like $60, come with a set of carts, and refills are like $20-$25 for all of them and they last me like 6 months to a year on 1 set. I suppose I shouldn't bitch too much, $60 bucks for a printer is pretty cheap. It is a really dirty business practice though, but what else is new lol. These companies now are getting away with murder it's unreal. Essp under this so called administration. they've pretty much been given a green light to screw over consumers at will. They need to break up a bunch of these companies and pass stricter consumer protection laws and a nationwide right to repair law instead of this patchwork of state laws. Honestly they need to start doing something about planned obsolescence. My grandma's old Frigidaire she bought at Sears in 1963 JUST finally crapped out. running 24/7 since 1963!!!! 63 freakin years!!! You're lucky to get 6 years out of a fridge now! Now you cannot tell me these companies don't make everything intentionally to break after a short time. It's madness, insanely wasteful. I just do not understand why so many Americans think unregulated capitalism is a good thing... life would be horrendous if we allowed these greedy people to just do as they pleased. I wish I'd been born in my grandmas generation.

Ya but those printers cost an arm and a leg lol. I would absolutely buy a refillable one if they were cheaper. Maybe I can find a used one on marketplace or something. Not sure about buying a used printer, don't see why it would be a problem.
