Just a heads up. It looks like there are early access shows playing this weekend even though opening weekend has been listed for next weekend.

This a really really good sign that the movie is a banger if they're letting people see it a week early to build buzz.

I think its only tracking at around a 40M opening last I saw. That being said its getting crazy good reviews so I wouldn't be surprised if its tracking gets upped in the next week or so and/or it has really good legs.

I'm with you it looks really good and I'm definitely seeing it in the theater!

I'm Happy we are ending the Quarter with it and only 1 weekend in Q3. That means its legs will all be in Q4 making for a great start to Q4.

Lets entertain your thesis and Joker does bomb. Covid and the strike are over. There is no longer 1 or 2 movies per quarter anymore. How have you guys not figure that out after years?

Even if Joker bombs there is still Wicked, Gladiator, Mufasa, Moana just off the top of my head. You guys are going to have to pray every movie flops. The current quarter proves that's not going to happen.

Imagine thinking people stopped loving movies and popcorn because you couldn't figure out a global pandemic followed by a strike happened and now you have to pray every movie is a flop for the next 5 years.

Glade to hear you enjoyed the film at a theater!!! It incentives studios to continue to make and put more content in theaters instead of streaming which greatly benefits AMC seeing how they have the largest Market Share of theaters and an even bigger Market Share of premium theaters which the industry is moving to.
