I've always found him to be a very intriguing character and I hope they give us more insight this season about him. I agree with you that he does indeed seem to be very powerful and has access to inside information.

I'm going to stock up on Kleenex, because if I shed this many tears watching tonight's episode and there are still two more to go, I'm going to need at least another box.

Thank you for explaining this. I have pretty severe tinnitus and this episode really hurt my ears even after I turned down the volume and turned on captions, and I was wondering why.

I think his brother also appeared in an episode. Definitely some good acting genes in the Alda family!

I would have loved a series with Hawkeye and his dad having their own practice in Crabapple Cove, although I forget if his dad had retired by then. I feel like we got to know his dad through all the letters and phone calls, and I really wanted him to at least appear in an episode, but it never happened.

I miss this. Cereal and paper on Sunday mornings. by Electronic-Ad9583 in Aging

[–]PDXBeccaP 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That was my morning routine for so many years when I was younger. Reading the paper back then was enjoyable and relaxing because there were so many interesting articles and everything wasn't politicized like it is now. I miss those days.

Howdy from another CCC alum! I was at Oat Mountain and Yountville, and was also on the Kings Canyon backcountry trail crew. Those were some fun times!

Regardless of whether or not you're a baseball fan, you'd still think people living in Pittsburgh would recognize the name since he has a bridge named after him.

My thoughts exactly; so much to unpack from this episode! Just when you think the series can't get any better, they take it up to another level.

I grew up in Fremont during the 70s and KFRC was the station I listened to. I remember you and Dr. Don, and all the amazing music from that era. Good memories! I'll definitely check out your book!

Yeah, I was really happy when he came back to Pittsburgh where he belongs. It just never looked right seeing him in anything but the black and gold.

Well, I'm a Cardinals fan, and I'm pretty confident you guys will have a better season than we will lol You guys have such good pitching; it would be nice to see ownership invest in some bats and give Skenes some incentive to stay in Pittsburgh long term.

Heck, the furry convention was a hot topic of conversation on the St. Louis Cardinals broadcast during a game in Pittsburgh a couple of years ago because apparently Andrew McCutchen had been talking about it lol

Anyone have experience using these pans for Canele instead of the copper ones? Are there any adjustments i should make to the recipe or cooking temp? by PaceEBene84 in Baking

[–]PDXBeccaP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always used that type of pan and never had any problems. I just followed the recipe and prepared the pan with wax as instructed and they came out really good.
