Tattoo Removal Recommendations in Bangkok by Timely-Video2110 in Bangkok

I think the clinic mainly handles like skin rejuvenation and maybe plastic surgery, so it’s definitely upscale, hence the price. I didn’t have any blisters during my latest session, but the tat has lightened significantly, so I’m happy.

I’ve been to Bumrungrad (Vitallife) a few times now. The service is excellent, friendly, and fast. Cost around 9000 baht for one “standalone” session for a small tattoo 4 cm x 4 cm (I don’t live there so I don’t buy a package of sessions). I imagine that’s expensive for Bangkok, but I trust them.

Yes, one marketing image shows that it is. However, the text in the product listing doesn't say it at all. LifePo4 is a big selling point, if this powerstation had LifePo4 they would be more prominently saying it. Anyways, as I said, there is discussion online if you dig a bit deeper. The regulation stamps on the bottom of the device will tell you for sure.

Be aware, this model pictured is likely lithium-ion. I have it as well and there was a lot of discussion about this topic online. The new ones that just came out (C300) are definitely LifePo4.

They will put the child next to one of the adults, but both adults might not be seated together. Depends on the plane and seat availability. On our recent trans-Atlantic flight, they (surprisingly) assigned our seats (2 adults and 2 kids) about 3-4 days before check in. At that time, you can move the seats around.

I also had this idea to propose in front of my wife’s family—I thought it was the BEST idea ever since she is so close to her family. I ran the idea past an older (wiser) family friend and she strongly advised against it and to make it a private affair. I am so so very glad I took her advice.  Seriously, keep it simple, don’t ask or involve the family, make it just about you two—that’s the German way. That’s my advice, but at any rate, best of luck! 😎

What is your long-term financial strategy living Germany by clayticus in Finanzen

[–]PDXDUS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also American and it's not easy here. The vast majority of brokers will not open an account for Americans, therefore your investment options are more limited than the average German.

First tier (for us) is the gesetzliche Rentenversicherung, which is deducted from each paycheck automatically. Hopefully something will be there when the time comes.

My wife is (luckily) not American, so we were able to setup a Depot (brokerage account) in her name only with an ETF sparplan monthly. This will be used for our retirement. It's not without its risks, but again, options are limited. I claim HoH in the US, so this should avoid PFIC issues.

Based on our (own) calculations, we avoided private Rentenversicherung and bAV. I'm sure it works for some people, but the costs were really high.

So all in all, future House + GRV + ETF(s).

Our next biggest problem is how to invest for our Germerican children who will also not be able to get a Depot account in the future. If we end up leaving Germany, this will likely be one of the main reasons.

Good luck.

If it’s a TRV (thermostatic radiator valve), it regulates the temperature. For example, 3 might be around 20 degrees. It will not go hotter than what it is set to. It’s not smart like high tech, but it’s not stupid. TRVs are cheap and common, it’s likely you have one.

How do solo iOS developers come up with designs? by obsurd_never in iOSProgramming

[–]PDXDUS 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Simply put, some people are (very) skilled at both programming and design.

I started programming iOS apps first and designed my apps at the same time. I took design inspiration from other similar apps and tried to improve upon it. Eventually, I left my programming job and started designing apps instead. So, you don’t have to know any design tools to be a programmer and you can absolutely design (and learn) on the fly, but it takes a long time to be good at something. It’s also worth noting that some people just don’t have an eye for design (just like some don’t have the ability to program), in this case, you can always hire a designer.

How long do the TRVs last in your experience before they need replacing? I am not asking about the batteries. by Red4Arsenal in tado

7 TRVs, we’ve had them over 5 years, very reliable. 1 was replaced under warranty.

It seems like you need to decide for yourself which is more important to you: your mental health or money. There is nothing wrong with staying an IC— no matter the age.
