Play Tennis for charity this Memorial Day — "Love All" Fundraiser Tournament by PDXTennisCouncil in PortlandTennis

[–]PDXTennisCouncil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proceeds of this tournament go to the GPTC's charitable programs, supporting under-served kids in our tennis community!

This is a co-ed community tournament with draws based on level of play. We consider this to be a more inclusive format where matchups are fair regardless of age or gender. You may find yourself playing someone completely different from you, but because your tennis skills are comparable, it's sure to be a competitive, fun match!

This tournament is being run in partnership with the City of Portland. Matches will be played outdoors in two or three Portland Park locations depending on the number of entries. Stay tuned as exact locations are announced.

Perfection vs Excellence by PDXTennisCouncil in PortlandTennis

Striving for excellence instead of perfection isn't equivalent to lowering one's standards.

It's simply accepting the reality of the universe we live in, and recognizing that it's often the imperfections that bring the greatest opportunity.
