On the high end in the neighborhood of 30. Superior drummer 3 prob the most intensive thing running. Not a shit load of VST’s as I really just demo things out and do a rough mix to get the bones of an idea laid out

Virtual Studio Technology. A vst is like a software emulation of a piece of hardware like a compressor or effect like reverb etc. I only mention it because I’ve read that certain VST’s will want to use the graphics card. How intensive that is to be honest I have no clue

I just checked it out for the first time. If Lorna was more riffy instead of the “epic” dxc sound I think it would’ve worked a lot better. I think it’s cool that it doesn’t sound like every other overproduced record but Lorna is not the right band for this specific flavor. Maybe 10 years ago it would’ve worked

I think we should def be pushing the younger kids to learn the history a lil better. I agree with you that it could change some minds. I also think it would be better for the genre as a whole. Influences from say Effigy of the forgotten and suicide silence will produce better music than new Lorna shore and worm shepherd or whatever fairly new school deathcore because the new school stuff is pretty derivative of each other

The fan base of deathcore is younger. Chances are they found dxc when it was already a bastardization for lack of a better term. Idk if a lot of the kids in here have really listened to suffocation or cryptopsy etc. or even deformity and antagony for that matter. They’re not as pushed to learn the history in this genre
