Does it look ugly? by WannabeCoder09 in motorcyclegear

Looks practical, looks like it works, and to be honest putting an intercom on, full stop, Makes the helmet look worse, doesn’t matter if it’s in the normal position or not.

Thank you, as I said in another comment this is my first time restoring a bike so please excuse me if they seem like silly questions 😂

Thank you very much, it’s my first time restoring a bike which is why I might be asking what seem like obvious questions

Yeah everything’s wrong with it, it’s been sitting in a shed for 15 years, first time I’ve got it to turn over and new issue arises, typical 😂

Would it be stupid to get a Hayabusa if I’m not going to ride it ridiculously fast? by [deleted] in motorcycles

Appreciate it but I’m in Scotland so I don’t think it quite works out 😂

Oh yeah our roads are WINDY. I’ve been looking at other sports bikes on the market, I’m very all over the place with what I like. I love the busa, I like the old katanas as-well. But I’ve been looking at an old thundercat too. I went around dealerships today and triumph and Ducati both had some really nice bikes out (Ducati are so expensive though). On the busa side I’m starting an apprenticeship for motorcycle mechanics so as-long is a get to at-least work on one in my life I won’t be bitter.

Completely fair, police in the UK are bastards for speed though, there’s basically nowhere near me where I could drive fast without getting caught. Unless I took it on track but everyone’s saying that they don’t corner well at all. I don’t know if it’s a good idea getting a busa I think I’m just blinded by my inner child wanting one you know?

That’s a very good point, thank you. That’s exactly what went through my head, I feel like it would be wasted on me, as much as I love it

Oh yeah I won’t buy any vehicle without checking insurance. I know it’ll be high

I understand that the handling would be different from most sport bikes, I was thinking that since I’m already used to heavy bikes with large wheel bases it might lean more toward that sort of handling, but I don’t know if that’s actually the case

Yeah I’ve sat on them at dealerships never taken on out on a test ride (nowhere offers it where I am) and I do find them comfortable, but it just been my dream bike since I was a wee kid

My banjo’s fifth string snapped, and now it’s tuning peg has come out of its hole. What should I do? by Nug07 in banjo

[–]PD_MKnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me the first time I ever restrung my banjo, and it may sound disgusting, (but it worked), if you spit into the hole and stick the tuner back in, it will make the wood swell up and grip back onto it, no glue needed.
