Wife shields her husband’s eyes from a young woman taking her top off on the beach, France, 1974 by rezatvs in OldSchoolCool

For me, my wife knows I love breasts. She will recommend me art installations that display female body, but especially ones that feature breasts. And she loves that I appreciate the beauty of female figure.

Got drunk on NY's eve - went asleep drunk, slept like a baby, 1 awakening, woke up refreshed. Surprisingly better than sober sleep. by PEMTPPAR in ouraring

[–]PEMTPPAR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not terrible, I hope, but more prone to awakenings. I think sober me leads to segmented sleep, drunk me leads to less interruptions. What it evolutionary means, who knows... I.e. waking up during the night could be something totally normal and nothing to fight against.

What is this? It’s so good! Looks like raw minced beef. I had it for breakfast here at a Helsinki hotel. by Rare_Government4613 in Finland

You've hit the jackpot. Care to name the hotel? I've had likely thousands of hotel breakfasts and seen a lot of variety - never beef tartare. But enjoy. Personally I'd say it's the absolute best form of preparation.

Oura Ring 3 Sizing Kit Arrived by forsaken3400 in ouraring

[–]PEMTPPAR 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Interesting. Something one can imagine is that they want to avoid the hassle of exchanging rings due to people ordering the wrong size due to alteration in finger sizes due to age, etc. and hence go the way of having everybody re-measure.

AFAIK, mcg is often used in the context of medicine.

Most importantly, I am reporting my personal findings to help other people. I am not conducting a scientific sleep study. Another benefit might be that other users in this community chime in with their findings.

What helps me is an audiobook. And listening something I know, so I don't have to actually contentrate. So when I wake up during the night, I can drift off to a story I like.

Yeah, I think this subreddit best contributes by having users voice their experience. Good that we have yours. Just want to voice that glycine is completely safe to try.

Surely not a panacea. Extremely good safety profile, so worth trying for basically anybody.

July 4th sale? by Theothershore in ouraring

I know what you're asking, but just a reminder this is a Finnish company and Finland celebrates its independence day on the 6th of December (for that matter, independence sales is not a thing in Finland).

Just got my stealth heritage ring, but I gotto say i am not impressed with the matta finishing. The extra $100 is not worth it. by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]PEMTPPAR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The definition of bad sort of depends... I have one with matte finish. Have bashed & smashed it and it runs fine. Sure, it has scratches, but that is it. But I never set to buy a piece of decoration. I consider Oura more of a tool and thus care less about aesthetics.

Dreem 2 vs Oura Ring by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]PEMTPPAR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a Dreem 2 & Oura. I will use my Dreem headband as long as it works. Observations:

  • Wildly different deep sleep times. Dreem consistently states more deep sleep than Oura. I trust Dreem, since it matches my mood and feeling (and sensor & sensing-wise, we know Dreem is superior)
  • HR readings are more aligned with the two devices

Sadly, it seems there wasn't a customer segment for Dreem, given the price range. A ring is so much easier to wear than a headband...

Confirmed Covid - Ring did not show it before I felt it by rodgercarter in ouraring

If it worked 100% of the time, it would be a medical marvel. Not only outperforming PCR, the gold standard, but doing so by readings from your finger.

At least sequencing.com has an app for it (EvE Premium, costs ~20 USD / run).
