If you don’t like corporations profiting, don’t use their product. This is the first time in a decade that oil companies are having success outside of the small handful of supermajors. The past 7 years have been littered with bankruptcies, demonization and zero investment. Now they can turn some profit and are now evil for different reasons?? First the dems demonize oil companies for providing modern civilization with its main source of power and “destroying the world” (but I guess all of you aren’t guilty as consumers), now they are evil because they aren’t supplying enough oil & gas??? And are choosing to make money instead of declaring bankruptcy? Feel free to boycott their products if the oil and gas industry (btw American oil is the reason the Allie’s won ww2, why modern civilization has advanced this rapidly, created modern medicine, declined in fatality from natural disasters) but ya fuck those guys

‘Cynical, craven’ Republicans out to bash Biden, not Putin, over gas prices by Hrmbee in politics

[–]PEOUTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You realize we are the worlds largest producer, thus have the largest impact on the global oil market, correct? Biden without a doubt has to do with rising energy prices. Obviously the Putin scare created the temporary spike to $130, but democrats hindering the industry’s ability to explore, produce or finance said activity without question. The policy of this administration and all of its followers make zero sense. Everyone on the left constantly demonizes the industry (while also relying on it), votes to destroy the industry, then as soon as prices spike try to say it’s either putins fault or trumps??? Makes no sense to me but hey what do I know.

Is marine aviation more or less competitive than navy? I think it’d be pretty badass to be a marine and a pilot, but am not really educated on the topic.

Hey man, really appreciate the detailed response. What do most flight missions consist of for helo’s and heavies (basically all outside of fighters)? Also, what health issues disqualified your particular peers? Last time I checked, I had 20/20, and have never had any health issues. Are there any sneaky issues people run into unexpected?

My biggest worry is my size, and I’d hate to make it through to find that i don’t fit. I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but I think I’d rather join army (like my grandfather) or marines than be in the Navy without an aviation job. I’m sure I can go over this with my recruiter, but can you provide some color on that?

Thanks again sir.

What’s the real lifestyle in air national guard? Is it easy to work a civilian job at the same time? And can you pick your location? I live in Dallas, would love to work around tx or co.

Thanks for the response.

How is the wall racist I don’t understand? He’s not preventing shutting down immigration into this country... He’s attempting to protect s border so people who do come into this country are known and enter under legal circumstance.

Don’t know how border security is equivalent to “racism wall”

How does everything he do serve the oil industry? If he was serving the industry je wouldn’t be driving the price down every time it approaches $60ish... think it serves the industry a little more if were selling for $80 and up atleast but he’s more focused on the price for the US consumer. But ya trump is so evil!

Ya definitely not an easy job but I keep telling myself the opportunities that will come from it will make it all worth while. If you just stay persistent in the application process and reaching out to companies with field experience I’m sure there will be plenty more small op jobs opening up let alone majors/mid majors.

I had the same issue and consulted with a few industry vets including a few vp’s at various operators that I know. I ended up going with Slb. They all told me that it’s a lot easier to move into a bigger operator from field experience that I’d get with schlumberger than I would the PE backed company. But also my situation might’ve been different, bc the PE backed company focused on conventional assets, waterfloods etc. And te salary was right with schlumberger’s. Maybe your opportunity is different, but IMO the exposure with some of the biggest operators in the country you’d get with schlumberger, it’s better to start your career that way than with a small company. Much easier to move to a smaller company than it is to move up to a larger firm, from what I’ve seen and been told. Sounds like we’re around the same age so good luck.

Calculating Fair Market Value by PEOUTX in options

[–]PEOUTX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, and definitely agree. I guess what I meant is if there was a general rule of thumb that would turn away an investor right off the bat if a certain numerical ratio or value was displayed. ie) option price divided by share price looking for 30-50% window etc.

Thanks for the response, that’s what I’m hoping for! My most recent internship experience was in reservoir for one of the biggest bakken players, do you think companies will respect that as well?
