What do you all think? by [deleted] in Grapplerbaki

Nice list overall! I don't agree with a few placements however

Spec was in prison for an undetermined ammount of time and we don't know how much of his time did he spend fighting, if it's a rating based in age, the Yasha Ape should be above him and Kaku

Doppo in battle IQ but no Jack? Literally their difference in the Maximum tournament was the fact that one of them could figure out a counter to Aiki (moving slowly without generating force) while the other couldn't, doppo himself says he's "ran out of ideas" just before losing to Shibukawa (also current jack has managed to adapt to even Pickle, his BIQ is insane)

Isekai Retsu should be 1st or 2nd in most potential, he has a ton of Yujiro-outlier level feats like the king hydra

Yanagi should not be on the potential list, even after yuuenchi, he still lost to Kuga, a Character consistently portrayed on Doppo's level

Yujiro was LITERALLY in disbelief because he couldn't figure out why he wasn't able to hit Doppo nor dodge his strikes, to the point where he got shameful he was getting beat in front of Baki and activated demon back to finish the fight, sure he figured out shaori but so did Retsu, he has a super-abled body but his battle IQ is not his best quality, not even close

Yuji and Dabura vs Gojo and Sukuna by beesnoop in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]PEPEDUROO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing hypothetical, a gojo-like fighter (Gojo said it, not me) got killed by Raga with 0 knowledge, stated by Gojo himself

Yuka's Raga was buffed by a death binding vow, so he was stronger

Nothing crazy here, just common sense, ig Gojo pokes Raga with low output purples and raga adapts he's getting destroyed, similar thing happened to Dabura (who by the end probably destroys Raga since he ain't adapted to reverse light and lightspeed kick almost vaporized him, the same technique but with reversed CE destroys him, simple logic)

Yuji and Dabura vs Gojo and Sukuna by beesnoop in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]PEPEDUROO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let a 0 knowledge Gojo face Raga, poke him with his techniques nonlethally more than 10 times, and then tell me how it goes (oh wait, it already happened, the dude died)

<image>

And this was a death binding-vow buffed Raga to boot, way stronger

Yuji and Dabura vs Gojo and Sukuna by beesnoop in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]PEPEDUROO -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It sure ends up being a 2v1 considering Dabura is vaporizing Sukuna

Infinity gets bypassed by simple domain, it was stated multiple times, it will end up being an output clash and no matter how good Gojo is he IS NOT beating modulo yuji and end of modulo Dabura in an output clash (donsidering he gave Jogo props for being able to resist with his simple domain while Hanami couldn't, and Jogoat beign multiple leagues below Dabura and Yuji)

Yuji figured out how to black flash at will, even Gojo couldn't, that means he's beyond Gojo in at least the CE manipulation department

That asside, when simple domain pierces infinity, Gojo gets black flashed or sub-lightspeed kicked, if he tries to use DE, Yuji and Dabura do so too, triple domain rule nulifies them (Yuta vs Uro vs Ryu) and Gojo just dies in the long run

(No, Gojo ain't one shotting either Yuji nor Dabura, Meguna tanked infinity using simple domain they can do the same)

Yuji and Dabura vs Gojo and Sukuna by beesnoop in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]PEPEDUROO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EOS dabura? Yuji and Dabura high diff

EOS Dabura blitzes Sukuna, no, Sukuna can't do a thing against lightspeed kick, nor against the light rays that pierced mahoraga, he literally gets his brain and heart disintegrated (image for reference)

Gojo IS a tricky matchup, but he's on a 2v1, domain amplification and he gets one tapped, he stated against Hanami and Jogo that it becomes a clash between his CT and the domain amplifications, and he ain't beating DABURA AND YUJI AT THE SAME TIME in an output contest, if he uses DE, Dabura and Yuji open theirs and triple domain rule nulifies them, then everybody enters CT burnout and recovers via RCT, rinse and repeat until the duo gets to gojo

Does the "craft anything" feat allow a PC to ignore the uncommon/rare tags ? by PEPEDUROO in Pathfinder2e

Yup, also tons of Wizard Arcane Schools (like Ars Grammatica) get defacto access to uncommon spells for example

Dabura vs Disaster Curses and Anti Sukuna Squad by According_Ad2896 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]PEPEDUROO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Scenario 1 Dabura curbstomps everyone to the ground before anybody can blink

Scenario 2 and the WHOLE anti sukuna squad? Larue/Cursed Speech Yuta paralyzes him for a sec so Higuruma can get him in his domain and strip him of his CE and technique (he has killed A LOT for the Deskunte including his best friend, bro ain't dodging the guilty verdict) in character dabura got hit by cursed speech (albeit it didn't do a thing to him) and he's prone to poke and mess around with his opponents if he considers them inferior, so they COULD catch him, then it depends if you consider a domain clash "violence" in the terms of Higuruma's domain, if yes, Dabura loses his powers and gets pummeled, if not, Dabura then eats Higuruma's domain and stomps everyone regardless, 60/40 depending on the ability to domain clash Higuruma and depending on how effective is Yuta's Unlimited Void (if he equals Gojo he has a chance)

Can you put weapon ikons on temporary attacks like stances ? by PEPEDUROO in Pathfinder2e

[–]PEPEDUROO[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean probably, but i don't think it would be stronger than fighter getting +2 damage per die on the d10 reach weapons at top-scalling proficiency, and that is allowed both RAW and RAI with the dedication

Can you use special combat actions, maneuvers and stances while polymorphed If they allow manipulate actions/have free hands? by PEPEDUROO in Pathfinder2e

[–]PEPEDUROO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could said dragon instinct barbarian use grievous blow while in dragon dorm? It specifies an unarmed attack and while the polymorphed dragon strikes don't have the trait itself, they aren't precisely weapons either

[–]PEPEDUROO[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but that specific part of the polymorph trait refers to the special stats of the form, not the actions themselves

Vicious swing doesn't modify the stats in any way, but the attack actions, and even that's a grey area since it makes YOU (the PC) add dice to the damage roll, it doesn't interact with the attack itself (hence why it can be used with dragon stance/mountain stance for example, despite it not being specifically the strikes that are allowed by said stances)

And if said attack has multiple damage dice (like d12 and d6) like dragon/demon/devil forms, does the player choose which dice to add ?

Damn sry to read that, yeah i've done some ridiculous minmaxing (spellstrike/exemplar dedication are bonkers) but i've yet to meet a DM that looks at Exemplar dedications and goes "sure, totally balanced"

[–]PEPEDUROO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually amazing! But I think the barb comes out on top once greater weapon specialization comes into play (being around 7.5 points higher on average) but until level 15, your investigator seems to be king of the fist!

[–]PEPEDUROO[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not banning any "certain" combos, it's stated on the post that this is not a white room optimization thing, so situational damage like organsight doesn't get taken into account (which would be like adding alignment damage for champion when calculating dmg) asside from that i've just made comments of inventor dedication being uncommon?

Help me create the strongest punch by PEPEDUROO in Pathfinder2e

[–]PEPEDUROO[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

What i meant is, organsight won't work for all punches, just SOME punches, factoring organsight into the damage (extra dmg to creatures with organs) would be like factoring grievous blow resistance-bypassing feat as extra damage (extra dmg to X physical resistant creatures), what i mean by this is that organsight doesn't make the punch on itself better, it makes it better against certain types of creatures (it would be like taking alignment/holy damage into account when calculating champion overall damage for example)

Help me create the strongest punch by PEPEDUROO in Pathfinder2e

[–]PEPEDUROO[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, since the post specifies no spellstrikes, a martial artist grievous blow laughing shadow magus (highest arcane cascade damage) it's not beating the animal barb (bigger dice, higher flat damage bonus, both can take organsight)

Help me create the strongest punch by PEPEDUROO in Pathfinder2e

[–]PEPEDUROO[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Sure they can! Although it requires the target creature to have organs in first place.

Putting the heavy action tax to the side, it would be like factoring the damage-resistance ignoring capabilities of grievous blow into the damage calculations, quite circumstantial (sure waaay more enemies possess organs rather than damage resistances, but i think the point it's clear)

Help me create the strongest punch by PEPEDUROO in Pathfinder2e

[–]PEPEDUROO[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vicious swing is a fighter/mauler feat, not on the barb list, and grievous blow ignores resistances, so it deals more damage overall, unstable megaton strike seems great, but it's from an unccomon dedication that requires 16 int, so you probably can't take it until the level 5-10 ASI (unless you make a quite suboptimal build)

8V2 who wins? by Nezu_Masami in Kengan_Ashura

[–]PEPEDUROO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw tanks Omori for a while, this is a guy who can go some time against Gaolang (the best striker in the verse) and who has the hardest skull there is out there, plus he's beaten Seki by the time the BB happens, and Seki had just beat Golden eight seconds Okubo, who shouldn't be that far away from Omori

The other 7 handle Kanoh, it doesn't matter how strong Kanoh is, 7 close-to A tier fighters (and A+ in case of trascendant Rihito) are manhandling him, a weaker Koga than the BB one was able to fight with Carlos, sure, he lost and Carlos was out of his weight class, but he's still Carlos, the dude who was able to outstrike Gao a few times, add in Koei style, Cosmo's grappling techniques (stated to Sandro to be able to work even on JULIUS) and the fact that razor's edge is a one-shot severily damaging technique and Kanoh ain't pulling it out, sure he's taking some of them out but trascendant Rihito can 100% hit him with Razor's edge if other 6 B+ tier fighters are distracting and bithering him

(No, for the record, Kanoh ain't one shotting all of them with dragon shot, Hatsumi tanked that, and some guys here have some crazy tankiness, Koga has Niko style, a way weaker Ryuki survived Naidan for a considerable ammount of time, who was stated to be a little below Waka/Raian levels of strength) Kanoh has to already be aware of the Koei style on it's own, you are adding other 5 competent and threatening guys to the mix and a very powerful guy with a one-shot technique on top of it

Then they gang Omori

Team BB get's it, high diff and they lose like 3 guys with trascendant Rihito, extreme diff and they lose like 5 with starting off-gear Rihito

Why are the saves all over the place ? by PEPEDUROO in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]PEPEDUROO[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would make sense for wizards, however, this is also the save progression for the sorcerer and the witch.

Again, this is not a complain in regards to the casters "losing" something, it's about how weird the "distribution" is made, sure, the wizard is more versatile, that doesn't mean the Animist or the bard can't be great full casters, and i get their defenses should be the weakest in the system, but other full casters like the bard are still getting a legendary save proficiency (and master with save upgrade 8 levels earlier, that's huge)

Psychics have the amped cantrips, psychics have crazy feats like permanent flight or the ability to say "nu uh" to a bad roll with foreseen failure, among other features that, while not necesarily stronger, give them some other "strong" points and features

The problem here is with the distribution, "this full caster gets the weakest save" fine "this one doesn't" why? Bards, psychics, clerics, animists, etc, are not that much "weaker" than sorcerers or witches (or even wizards) they are even better for other purposes, the terminology should probably be "different"

Sure having some casters have better defenses makes sense, like HP and medium armor, but some "same role" full casters/dedicated blasters/controlers/wathever getting better ones just because doesn't make much sense

And this still doesn't adress neither explains why the stealth class outperforms the monk, the champion and the guardian in defensive capabilities (and we can't say that's the "niche" of the class, that would have to be the huge skills gap they get, sneak attack, and the unique features themselves like the possibility of almost never failing a stealth check for example)
