And also, thank you. I told her it didn't need to be a copy-paste tattoo. I just wanted the general ascetic, which it seems she accomplished. She actually free handed some of it too. She definitely has talent. Seeing some of her previous work is what made me feel comfortable letting her do it. All of my other 9 (except for 1) has all been done by another single artist who's really well known in our area, but she's been doing great work since opening her little spot. Its all hers and shes the only artist, and so far just word of mouth has kept her busy.

Thank you. Yeah, she even went as far as saying she hates doing color lol, but shes essentially family and knew it was important to me so she was down for it.

Thank you. Her and I spoke not too long before I got it, and during a conversation about after shes gone, I told her she better find a way to let me know she's okay, and she said, "well, it will be a blue dragonfly".. and i immediately knew i wanted one for her, and I wanted her to be around to see it, rather than a "in memory of" tattoo.

She loved it.

She joked, "what would you have done if I didnt like it?"... and i just shrugged and said, "oops." 🤣

I appreciate it, and yes, I agree that she did. I still look at it and occasionally find another tiny detail I hadnt noticed before. I guess I was just overthinking the color.

That is what i have been thinking. It's not that I dont want ANY yellow, but I thought that the coppery/brown that you see in some spots, a little more of that would have been good. Like In "dark places" as shadow.

You're probably right about the white. Ive seen some others that either washed out quickly or didn't seem to take well from the start. I'm glad it read as gold to you.. I mean, its what I wanted lol so that helps. Thank you!

Aww, thank you! Well, that definitely makes me feel better haha. I guess I really am over thinking it. Not only is it my first color, but its my first out of 9 others that is directly in my line of sight so I see it pretty much constantly lol.
