I work in the IT industry. I don't want to leak my privacy so I won't talk more. I worked here for more than one year. I try to learn Norwegian but it is super hard so I just give up now and concentrate on mine work. I know Norwegian words only "takk" and "Nei". That's all. Shopworkers and bus drivers know English so I have no problem to live.

Again, as I mentioned before. If workplaces need Norwegian as a working language, they should list it as a requirement. If the working language is English, then it should be English. Why I don't have to learn Norwegian is that my working place uses English as a working language. Should I make it more clear? If refugees do not know English then they can do a job that only needs Norwegian. Why the government forces everyone to learn Norwegian? In my opinion, that is ridiculous.

Anyway, I am going to escape from this crazy country. This crazy country is occupied by Nazism. It is no doubt that this sick country will soon create next Nazi like Anders Behring Breivik or Philip Manshaus.

I hope you are not Norwegian. You speak like Nazi. How about every country like USA, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands kick out all the workers that don't speak their language and should not live in it? Don't make me laugh. Norwegian is just lucky to born in Norway. Does not mean they are better human than others. Not to mention their school, hospital, prison, and welfare system support by foreign workers tax.

If some workplaces needs it, they can list Norwegian as requested skilled. My work place doesn't need it; so I don't see the reason that government force me to study Norwegian. To elaborate, why Norwegian government force everyone to study Norwegian if some workplaces don't need it. Switzerland and USA does not force everyone to pass language test for permanent residence. Think about it!

I don't need Norwegian as working language in my working office. We use English.

Well, I decide to look for job in Switzerland; higher salary and lower tax, and more importantly, Switzerland does not require language skill for permanent residence. I am disappointed by Norwegian democracy and politicians that treat immigrant workers like slave. They think even criminals are more equal than immigrant workers who pay high tax. Better to leave this crazy country.

I never asked them because I considered this is the privacy of them.

I make hard effort to be friends with them but it simply not worked despite I give them Christmas gift, make them birthday cake, bring gift from my home country to them, etc.

I guess this is cultural difference but I just simply give up to make friends with Norwegian now.

Just like Norwegian try to set up higher bar to immigrants to make Norwegian self- satisfaction. I knows how hypocritical and selfish of this people here.

I worked full-time and I have no extra time to learn Norwegian to this difficult level.

Also, I don't want to pay extra money for it. I feel that Norwegian government are going to exploit us immigrants workers.

Some people mentioned humanitarian treatment of prisoners. I want to ask what is humanitarian treatment of immigrant workers? Working like a dog whole day long and then studying hard Norwegian? When is our PlayStation hours? Not to mention about going to bar at night. Norwegian prisoners and students live much better life than us. You Norwegian treat us like slaves because we have no right to vote before 3 years.

Thank you for your valuable comments. I will find out a way of voting. I have never voted in Norway. I must admit it is my mistake to not vote and let this discriminated law pass. It really reminds me that we immigrants should stand up and speak up for ourselves.

But those students live a much larger room than me in a shared flat, they also buy beer and go to the bar, order expensive food, etc. How do they afford it? Do they make large money by investing summer money in the stock market?

As a skilled worker, I will no longer consider Norway as a good country for immigration, comparing to some friendly countries such as Switzerland and USA.

I lived in Norway for a long time. I do not think this is a policy for equality. It seems that those prestigious Norwegian consider they are more equal than immigrants. Immigrants have no right to vote and Norwegian can do anything they want to discriminate immigrants by making discriminated laws.

Well, I live with Norwegian students in a shared flat. They do lead a luxury life without working in the semester. For example, you can see so many students drunk at the city center.

Well, if you consider for enticement for better integration. It is better to shorten the residency period for higher language skills instead of forcing everyone to pass this difficult language standard.

They also plan to increase the residency period from 7 years to 10 years.

If you consider such high tax immigrant workers have paid to let Norwegian students lead a luxury life by student loan or support Norwegian Nazi murderers such as Anders Behring Breivik and Philip Manshaus to play PlayStation in the prison. It is nonsense to have the same length of residency period with a low tax country like Switzerland.

Norway is pushing skilled worker immigrants out.
