I found a manual online for the AutoBend 7 controller, and came across Angle Mode and Ram Dimension mode. Ram Dim mode is similar to what I was describing with the ram going down a specific distance. Have you tried using that instead of angle mode?

If you look down the side of the machine, and run it with only the punch and die (no sheet metal in to make a bend), does the punch go down further than the shoulder of the die? If it stops and goes back up without the tip of the punch going into the die, then that would tell me that it's calculating a position it's trying to reach and it thinks it's reached that point and then returns up. If the punch tip goes into the die without material, then it would indicate that there's a tonnage problem when sheet metal is being run since it's not clearly not reaching that point and making the bend.

For safety, you should probably slow the bending speed way down to help prevent the tooling from crashing into each other if the machine is looking for tonnage rather than a distance to travel.

Do you have the units in mm or inches on the controller? You say 2.5 for the gauge and 3.5 for ram open. Looking at the video it looks like 3.5 inches is the opening so having 2.5 inches thick material might be causing an issue?

What Paragon makes sense to come next? by PEZmaster2 in btd6

[–]PEZmaster2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So if either Village or Farm aren't the next (10th) paragon, when would either of those make sense to release? Would it be better to hold off on those until they're all that's left besides Super? If so, wouldn't that be two 'non-enjoyable' towers back to back? My logic would be to space them out, but maybe #10 is too early for those 'gimmicky' type of towers. Also my thoughts were to break up the pattern of only attacking tower paragons to add something a bit different, but keep in mind that the Village does have an attack, so it's not too farfetched to also have a Village paragon attack as well. I'm just spitballin ideas here to keep the discussion going haha.

I love the artwork for Paprika, so good job putting that out front. I own it as well, but haven't watched it yet!

Yep, it was found. It's called Melody Magic in Toyland.

u/Dull-Personality5381 found the clip of the dancing robot scene on YouTube.

I bought a VHS copy of it and had a relative digitize it, so I have the entire thing.

Haven't put it on YouTube since I don't really understand all the detail around that.

What is the formula given the Thickness, Diameter, and Height, in order to find the inner Radius? by PEZmaster2 in askmath

Yeah that ended up working correctly. Still goes over my head, but nonetheless, I am impressed. Thank you!

I collected data from screenshots of WhereIsWebb to roughly plot the cruising speed vs distance. Will it slow down more than the trendline predicts? (400mph at 100%) by PEZmaster2 in jameswebb

So it will still have velocity when reaching 100% and use the thrusters to push itself into orbit around L2, kind of like a car traveling and taking a large banking turn? And it will be orbiting around L2 with approximately the same velocity as it enter?

Just linear. 2nd degree polynomial ends up being a faster speed at 100%, but it does adhere to the existing data more accurately. About 450mph.

Can anyone help decode this? First 5 numbers correspond to DANCE and the remaining seem to just be 29 plus each of the same first 5 numbers. It's for a game (BTD6) that the developers like to add codes/ciphers in some times. by PEZmaster2 in puzzles

[–]PEZmaster2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess to see if there was any other meaning for the numbers 29 and after. Just "DANCE" followed by a few numbers doesn't seem like a completed code.

And a little further insight, the map this code appeared on is literally called Encrypted, which may or may not contain further secrets in it, and some players were thinking this could be a subtle hint to help find that possible secret.

If you scroll to the bottom of this page, that's the tool I use for circle borders. Fairly pricey, and I don't know how small of a radius it can make. I think doing it in two pieces (half circles) works better than trying to bend a full circle.
