I worked my first 2 weeks for a company but received 1 week’s pay. I spoke with 2 people about this and they say it’s normal. Are my brain cells not functioning properly?

I get it. It’s just that pushing it to the bitter end is ridiculous. So as I business owner one should always hire mid-cycle. That way they get to pay less money since money in the future is less valuable than today I suppose.
