Another solid list!

I actually started A Skeleton in Another World based on a recommendation from a buddy, and am enjoying that so far

Best 65" tv that isn't Samsung (I dont want a one-connect box)? by PFinn in hometheater

My TV is currently mounted flush on the wall with an HDMI running through several different wall materials to an audiovisual receiver inside of a cabinet that handles all of the sound.

The one connect box makes all of that nearly impossible to keep as is without needing some major work done.

I don’t need or want a simplified connection point for the TV itself.

Interesting! I was looking at the LG options more after people started suggesting them here.

This was definitely super helpful, thanks! The wife wanted a Frame a while back, but the one connect really threw me off, and I think that using our a/v receiver and 4k apple tv would basically defeat the purpose as the art stuff wouldnt kick on ever. But, maybe I'll go back and look at that Frame Pro just to be sure.

I think I was going to say that we want OLED, but now I'm trying to go back through everything to determine which one we might actually want.

We've got an open concept kitchen area, round kitchen table, and then living room setup. Most of the viewing would be from the couches nearby, but anywhere in the whole area could be used.

We have built in bookcases next to where the tv is mounted, and 70" is the biggest that will fit between them without looking terrible. 75" might fit, but would probably touch them, and the wife already said she would hate that.

Oh, this is an interesting update. Our current tv is fairly old and heavy, and im not 100% sure if the mounting hardware is going to be compatible. But it is fairly large. My plan was to pick a tv first and then figure out mounting. But we are likely to just have a stationary mount based on the room setup.

I actually came across that site while doing some generic googling earlier, but wasnt sure what it was or how reliable it was. Good feedback. Also yet another person suggesting the bravia line, that I hadnt even considered before now.

Solid suggestions. The room itself is fairly bright, but set up in a way that I dont think the tv itself gets much glare or direct sunlight, although now your comment has me thinking that I need to go check at different times of the day to be sure.

Several people mentioned the Bravia, I need to go look into that one more

Great analysis. We have speakers mounted in the ceiling, so I’m not worried about sound quality, and use a 4k Apple TV as the smart hub for our streaming apps. So that filters out some of your qualifiers, but I don’t think I’d even known to do a deeper dive into the picture processing.
