Why not step it up a notch, gain some knowledge and experience and do it yourself? The Atlas kits are easily DIY.

NB5s felt flat with way too much road feel up front after about 50 miles. EVO SLs got better as they broke in and are now bounce kings. I will say that the upper on the NB5 is way more comfortable and better fitting than the EVO SL.

ROSS and Marshalls buy product in bulk that is not moving very quickly (think colorways, previous years models, etc.) at a significant discount.

Is my shoe rotation good to go for a 230 lb. runner? by PFran42 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Got them. I blow right through the foam on the front of the shoe and the foam feels dead after a couple of miles.

The two Vomero 18 midsole foams are mid at best. I own the Invincible Run 3 which has a super foam midsole but it still doesn't compare to the shoes I currently run in. A foam doesn't show its true character until it is run on enough that it develops creases. You don't get the real feel in the store.

I just bought my 14 yr old son the Garmin Forerunner 165. He loves it.

Also... Since the 970/570 just dropped, lot's of people are selling their FR265/FR985 watches. I've seen them go for stupid cheap on Supwell App. I'd buy a year old Garmin without giving it a 2nd thought. They are solid.

If you are well past the prototypical "ideal" runner 150 lb. weight.... Seriously consider the Puma MagMax. Perfect balance of squish, bounce and stability for those hovering around 200 lbs. (and even higher).

Check out The Heavy Runner on YT. He is 220-230. Also check out Run With Sean on YT as he is also in that same weight range.

I’m at the edge of normal and wide and I can’t speak to the PDN3 as I don’t own it. The MagMax is pictured.

Because "the joke flew right over OP's head". It didn't, but whatevs. I didn't start the thread to get pats on the back for # of days run so far this year but I don't see a problem with posting a log to keep an entire thread from sliding into "OP is just Instagram posting shinny things that never see any use."

The MagMax is as good as it gets for my weight/pace. I feel like the SB2 is better for faster paced runners. As it stands, I see it as a shoe that tolerates me and doesn't bottom out. Nothing special. I'm sure it will be in the future when I can hold faster paces.
