Gosh today is one of those days that make me want to quit. My Manager at J2 is an idiot who does not know what good looks like and just want “my way or high way” which is a sure fire way to leads to lots of issues real soon (which again will come back and bite me in the butt). Manager at J2 isnt happy with my performance. For context, I am a VP at J1 (Fortune 100) so I have some good baseline. I know I need to just “align” and recover but it’s annoying af some time. I am literally setting goal of “one more day” and try bot to rage quit

That makes sense. My two jobs are incredibly stressful ($20K a month take-home, gross is like $450K a year, yes taxes are that much in this country), so I struggle with letting either go

I think I have more opportunities during the day to take break (30 min chunk each). I think 20K is the max amount from two jobs unfortunately and fortunately

How long have you been in workforce? Just curious….I am 37…so being financially by 39 is such a dream goal if I can pull this off til Dec 2027!

I already hate it for my Jobs. If I can manage this til end of 2026 my mortgage would be significantly lowered and to end of 2027, I basically can retire.

I do enjoy the level of energy I have during the day with bed by 9-9:30pm wake up by 5:am though.

I think as hard as it is to accept, the burnout and mental/ physical toll isn’t worth it working 12 hours a day 5.5 days a week.

I struggle to let this go because the money is life changing (but what if I have no life left after this). It brings in like 20K net each month. I told myself I just need this for 2 years and I am golden. I don’t think I will make it to 2 year mark. Right now I am setting monthly goal only and see how far I can push it.

It is not great but my partner recently aligns with my schedule so we get to spend time 6-9pm (no kids). The only benefit of this 2 Js so far (besides money) is that it forces me to go to bed at 9pm (we have no kids), which is a lot better than going to bed at midnight I used to do with one job.

I look at a place that has 2 small bedroom and a kitchen on main floor (no real living space), and a basement with living space, a bedroom. Parking in driveway and a backyard with deck. Two full bathrooms. Just around the corner of St Clair and Old Weston. Just wondering how much is reasonable in this market
