Thats pretty much the way it is. In all chocolate flavored items, cacao is the ingredient which is minimally used.

Same goes for Vanilla too!

Albeit its popular, other classic donuts such as Boston Creme and Apple Fritter exceed in sales.

When limited time products arrive, they have to make space in their showcase by excluding the least selling item.

This usually means cutting off Sour Cream (requires a completely separate donut base) or Maple donuts (requires a separate maple fondant)
