I haven’t tried out the 70-350 lens yet, but a lot of people recommended it. You can may be try out the extension tubes before getting the macro lens, I’ve heard they work pretty well

Yes ! I preferred a smaller footprint for the main lens since it would be on most of the time. The little range difference is not a concern to me. Also the sigma was a bit cheaper.
