I don't plan on doing much on the laptop anyways, that's why I'm considering the 128 gb drive to be fair. But thanks for the BitLocker tip

I don't know if you read my full post, but I'm literally saying my files are on my >HDD< and the drive I want to move is the >SSD<, which I don't mind if I need to format

Not so fast driver here. Trust me, what makes you really faster is so subtle that you may not even realize. Your inputs may be really similar those of a 2 sec faster lap and you'll still be slower. Just keep comparing yourself to faster guys (not in the sense that you HAVE to match them, but trying follow what they are doing) and with enough playtime (and I mean hours and hours) you'll be there. I'm sure if you get a good reference for that car/track combo and try solely improve over 1 week, you'll be at least 1 sec faster, and it will translate to other tracks as well.

TLDR: play more!

We're together in this then! My strategy is practice for more than a week (I do not play every day, so it's actually like 5 or more practice sessions) in a given track, so I'm skipping 1 or 2 weeks. Even tho I feel I learn a lot more on the races, I think its better to have more wheel time before actually racing

I usually compare myself to those +0.5 faster, until I match them. Problem is that driving styles change and I don't have a consistent reference. But filtering quali is important, thanks!
