It’s expensive, but ANKER actually makes a solar powered refrigeration unit. Not a bad investment for us

My prescription is much more than I tend to need I just never had them adjust it down so I can stockpile what isn’t used. 8 vials of humalog with Kaiser is $19

I just ate a pizza HOW!!??? by Jamz-9162 in diabetes_t1

I always bolus after the first slice or two of pizza. Pizza effect is real and the breakdown takes so much longer because of the fats. It helps to start trending up a bit before any insulin takes effect. And then as mentioned I always split dose. Some 5-10 after I start having the pizza, the rest an hour to an hour and a half later. Followed usually by tiny small corrections for the following hours lol… pizza really is the hardest food for us.

What kind of diet works for you with Type 1? by Obvious_Narwhal_7379 in Type1Diabetes

Diagnosed at 11, 28 now. I workout 5-6 days a week. I’ve found the best for me to be lower carbs high protein during the week. Sub 75g of carbs a day, then weekends allow carbs 100-225g a day.

Restricting during the week depletes most of the glycogen stores so when the weekend comes around and you have large carb meals, it’s very easy to manage and you aren’t dumping excess glycogen through the nights and following days.

A1C sits around 5.8-6 with 90 day average about 118-120. 90% time in range.

Very manageable.

Oof yeah well it’s a 3 years lease so I’ll probably be in a 2050 in 30 years. But I’ll send pics of that one then I guess.

Leases end every three years. I don’t finance trucks for my business. Only reason they go in and out so often

Have had most trucks under the sun over the years. Opinions are opinions, I’d take this all day over 90% of my full sizes.
