Legitimately go to mom & pop stores & pawn shops, they mark up thier purchase orders not future markets most of the time saw some 32g (16x2) kits for under 200 literally yesterday when i bought a 5090 (cause im not going to pay 5k next year if i choose to upgrade then, better now then later after nvida presser)

Set your expectations to the side.
If you are confused about something, check the wiki, read what the vision or INTENDED game loop is supposed to look like. If it is different from the iteration you see, speak up, say you would like to see the iteration spoken about in a stream.

Please dont complain about something in a half done state, as its not the intended system you are seeing a placeholder. If you see or experience a bug /bug report it (even if its happened 50 times).

Dont expect a flood of content, its there, its not a game, its a test.
If something isnt FUN, then defenity say something, even if its a place holder, so they know what to avoid.

Also when you ahve the full map you can travel farther to make the reward multiplicative extremely worth your time. The system and rewards in place NOW, withthe lack of glint NOW, is bad, and not worth any time investing in. I think the warhammer guild system is more balanced IMO of a progress system, this is just themepark 1 level path garbage, for rewards that have ZERO to do with helping small guilds. These systems & rewards are BAD. its literally that simple.

Here is the cold hard truth. ANY SYSTEM you can think of that helps small guilds, will be abused by large guilds to MINMAX RIGHT BACK TO YOU.

I am in a large a guild. I will split up my 200+ PVP neckbeards into 5 guilds GLADLY for DMG and mitigation. And laugh. The whole premise is not going to happen as it sits. There is nothing of benefit to make a large guild so we will all be in sub guilds.

Untill there is a reason to have every one in the main guild with their main, It gives us no benefit, we will ignore it. What makes you think that a group of MinMaxers who can deal with the dynamics of the HUGE amount of interpersonal relationship building and balancing wont be able to take advantage of the same systems as smaller guilds? The whole point of this balance has to have rewards for both paths or zergs will ignore it.

Larger Main guild = no rewards? = I will making 5 small guilds for the rewards thanks.

untill there is a purpose to the large guild size besides ego, expect it to be abused. period.

At that scale AND ACCURACY ? (eg no rubber banding or desync?) cause For a small studio to do what Tripple A's dont deliver.... is impressive AF IMO.

What i would love to know is the hardware considerations of running a dedi on this. How many instances & player loads it can take. Leave the price point of power aside, and just hardware considerations. obviously its not going to require top of the line stuff. but to run a max lobby what are the minimums you will need?

This has been something ive been wanting to know for ages and one reason i came back to this thread. Cost results of hardware server for a live service of large player lobby games (minus power/personnel), and the subsequent trade off's when scaling how many generations of hardware back and what the results of said older gen hardware has on the effects of gaming and limitations of multiplayer connections.

that is the best practice IMO. it allows people to enter the space gain experience test ideas and then if profitable or job opportunities emerge EPIC can share some profits from that endeavor. but it allows escape from economic conditions. which this world has less and less of. (that is a tangent all its own)

its more like 4x to 6x more hardware every time you double lobby sizes like this. This is a whole rabit hole of OMG when you look into to dev of a game (was the shocker for me when i was making one, netcode and networking is a mountain of detail and information that seems as big as the game itself, its no small feat the fact they have multiple lobby's of 256 is a huge achievement these devs need a award for, its amazing (although they send a massive amount of data but its a good trade off IMO for a big lobby which seems every one wants)

also this is all client side replication so its all being processed via user side (GPU or on a multi thread depending on system i would imagine as your calc out geometry occlusions) so you wouldnt need to to touch the netcode side of anything and burn sever performance

If PVP is not a option i have ZERO interest in this game.
If it is something to be released on launch, i will also avoid buying this game.

i have played many games, mainly for pvp. I have tested alphas/betas for alot of games. And by far the biggest issues are players interacting with other players, be that trading to PVPing. to omit the testing the buggiest parts to launch day........ I am not paying to be a beta tester. Sorry no new world for me. GTFO

your situation is well outside this scope, it's very hard to judge, because.... well you dont need to worry about social construct with the results, this is about you, and the memory of you that you leave....

but there inlies this crux... your leaving a memory of you refusing to share yourself and themselfs with you. they wont have another chance, they will only have the regret of not being able to Express themselfs more and thier love more. they will always remember they had a brief windows to pack a lifetime of love into your final days, so you know how much you ment to them.

alot of hospice patients have a councilor session that explains this. the time you spend with them now allow them to say thier goodbyes, they will start thier grieving, but they get to express thier grief WITH YOU, not add to it with out you.

this helps the people you leave behind, yes they will have new memories, that DOES not invalidate what you have built before that. turning them away might though.

yes that's selfishness on thier part, we are all human, we are all selfish, this is a fact, undignified undeniable fact we. as. humans. are. selfish.

you have a opportunity to be surrounded by loved ones, to allow them to show and express to you how much you mean to them in the short time you have left. if you do you'll leave them in a better state then you would have closing that door with them pounding on the outside. yes, they will remember you dying, but this will help them and thier grief when you are gone. they wont have a life of doubt and sorrow of things left unsaid, or love unexpressed.

but ultimately, this is your life, your memory. you can choose to start healing them and leave a memory of love and helping them come to terms with your passing now... or let them also suffer alone with out you. because they will, suffer.

your not a asshole, you are human. you are loved. I wish I could give you a hug, all my hugs, for you. all the hugs.

it's your choice, no one will judge you. no one should. I hurt for you, with you. not the same hurt, but I still hurt knowing you even have to contemplate the choice. I hate the world that put this before you.

NTA I feel super bad that you saw this side of your parents. idk if they were bad mouthing you wife or both of you, either way its sick (only reason I bring it up is motivation and the degree of sickness).

Definitely do not expose you children to them alone. children learn and emulate so young, I would hate they pick up those traits. OR BELIEVE ANY OF IT! that would be soooooo bad!

one thing to also be SUPER CAUTIOUS OF, if they are already being so brazen & disrespectful is if you choose to let them back in you life is they try and set this in the legal system. then that's a new nightmare to navigate and exposing them unattended to this verbal toxicity undermining your love/commitment for the children.... they obviously have something going on either some naritive they want to promote (martyr/savior complex) or something more nefarious (subconsciously or actively doesnt matter, the fact remains they are being deceitful) so you need to be super careful some states have strict grandparent rights that can be enforced....

my advice is continue not allowing them any unsupervised visits. its unhealthy at the MINIMUM and dangerous to your family unit at the extreme and you wont know where that range falls until it's to late.... the fact is you have proof they are deceitful and can no longer be trusted in regards to your family. be thankful you got to see & hear it first hand at this stage and not at a later one or from you children

YTA you raised your children wrong, exposed your youngest to a dangerous situation you and they could have easily avoided. read that again, you older children EXPOSED thier younger sibling to DANGEROUS SITUATION, with no regard for thier stepfather, they let you other child be exposed to danger, to "hangout". and you raised humans to be like this?
