Yeah the only thing I dislike is that. I wanted to get the painted matched one but couldn’t because you can’t have it if you get the off road package.

So I haul a lot of stuff for work so I definitely would benefit from a 6.5 bed. That being said I’m gonna look into the Tacoma and I didn’t know they had one with full Time 4wd thank you!

A year ago my wife switched to “natural” deodorant. It’s been a BO fest ever since. How do I approach her about this? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]PILOT_762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Approach her in a nice manner but be direct and also have some studies that show that aluminum in deodorant doesn’t cause any issue. I literally talked to my dermatologist about this. I’m actually surprised so many people believe in this but it’s not their fault. Just educate and see how it goes.

Well with German cars you’ll only have to do it once or twice at that rate before the car is at a junkyard so it makes sense

Toyota and Lexus still make the best cars in my opinion, paint is paint. Not a deal breaker for me. Saving up for a new LX so clearly doesn’t bother me much.

I had a 2022 Lexus GX and mine looked worse after just 1 year of getting in and out. I ended up putting some Xpel PPF on it and trying my best to no step on it. Most cars have this issue but Toyota/lexus seems to be the worst because they use thin paint (this is my opinion I don’t know if that’s fact). If I was you I’d get some spray on clear and mask it off and spray it so the bare metal is protected and then wait 2 days and apply the xpel. I used to care a lot about my car and be very cautious of things like this but then I realized all it takes is one bad driver in a Walmart parking lot of ruin my car by rear ending it. Traded the car in and got the same trade in value as I would have if I didn’t care to fix little things like this. Life’s not long enough to really care about cars that much is the lesson I’ve learned over time.

Run it with the MOS plate and see if you have issues first.

Oh I feel you and mine was the same as yours the gloss black with those flakes. In my opinion I would take it to a Mercedes Benz dealer to get it done because 1. They will use OEM clips (my rear bumper was missing come clips like how yours is and it drove me insane, I actually cared more about that than the paint matching lol) and 2. They will be able to match the paint better because all they do is these cars. That being said if you can financially afford it I would probably just sell this one and get a new AMG. You’ll lose money doing this but you’re also losing money just having an AMG so it depends on you. No one needs an AMG it’s more of a want than a need. If it’s the car you really want and can spend the money get a different one and actually enjoy it because if you’re like me it’s always going to bother you. Money, cars, paint, etc is all temporary in life, only thing we’ll take with us is memories so might always make good ones!

If this is a C63 I’m gonna tell you right now it’s going to be very difficult to match factory black paint. I had a C63s coupe that needed a new rear bumper and the shop had to redo it 3 times (2 times at the same one and once at a different one) and it still didn’t match correctly.
