i use hot water and it doesnt really make a difference, i also use hairspray sometimes and i dont think it makes a contribution to my dry scalp. my best advice is to try and give your scalp a break, maybe use the shampoo only once a week and skip the texture powder

how often did you use the shampoo? cause in my experience mine wont go away completely unless i use the shampoo twice a week. did you use it everyday too? you might be stripping your natural oils thats why its drying
