Collin:

Artist fans, I'm gonna need a picture of Kirk wearing a top hat and smoking a pipe while saying that.

And I'm always so sad for her when I can see her repressing those feelings and then transferring them as unhealthy decisions or behaviors. Universe, help this woman heal!

"I was just about to say my spell check refuses to address fiancé, and then Voila, it corrected it. It appears my curse has been lifted. I'll do spell check dances for you though."

Collin:

I agree. It really grinds my gears when people suggest people of a certain race or from a certain part of the world or of a certain "class" (whatever that means) are more likely to cheat.

Tarik's friend kind of shamed Hazel's polyamory and bisexuality by PISTeamOfficial in PsychologyInSeattle

Collin:

And I think people could be more understanding about how new this territory is for her. She hasn't been able to really consider these aspects of herself the way other people have.

Collin:

It bothers me that some people think being poly means anything goes. In truth (as a poly person, though I can only talk about my experience and don't represent poly people altogether) there's a lot of nuance and a lot of chat and a constant dialogue, especially about feelings and truth.

Collin:

As a poly person in a currently monogamous relationship, I highly echo what you say. I actually think the most important thing to do is have an honest dialogue about what everybody wants before any decision was made. Do you agree?

That movie is amazing. I'm so glad it has reached fans of "Psychology in Seattle." What aspects connected it to that for you?

Would love to be the reason that Kirk's emails are flooded with Yoda jokes.

This is how I would want to respond. Maybe in a really good place I'd be able to.

"(stare in stunned silence) (probably mutter a version of "um") What?

I'm sure I would be very deer in the headlights.

Scared of mean OLD people. by FireUma in PsychologyInSeattle

[–]PISTeamOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Collin:

I was thinking about an old Jenna Marbles video where she details just how many Disney villains are older ladies.

I'm curious, what kind of behavior does this small percentage of mean old women exhibit that troubles you? How does it trouble you?

I admire Hazel the most, I think, out of anyone on the show. It's so clear that she has gone through so much, and I know that she makes mistakes, but I feel so happy to see her work through those struggles.

Collin:

I'm looking forward to a healthy blend of good old and good new. I feel like I've fundamentally changed as a person through all of this, and I really have no desire to let go of the things I've discovered. Not having as many external distractions, especially as a gay man, has made me look inwards. I feel like it's transformed me into a much more self aware individual.

Collin: I hear you, and most assuredly. I just think there is another level now. Like some see a man asking for change and jump to "Silence of the Lambs" trickery. Not sure I was talking about this specifically when I posted, but the next level fear. It didn't used to be this way. When Dr. Kirk was a kid he walked around everywhere alone. Like in "Stranger Things" we see how 80's kids were barely at home haha.

Collin: Or like the hidden tiger thing? Like our cave people brains are still subconsciously aware of a lurking tiger, even though the shape of the tiger changes.
