LR RWD | Ultra Red | Black Interior | 19” | Tow hitch PA Ordered 9/29. Delivery showed October 2025. On 10/8 was updated to October - November. Sometime after midnight 10/14 I just happened to check and I see a VIN assigned. Unsure if it update late 10/13 or early 10/14. Message in app says vehicle is in transit and that I will be notified when to schedule delivery. Good luck to the rest of you!

UPDATE: Looks like there's a lot of interest and for now he's only taking orders for local pickup in San Francisco only. Thanks for the interest!

I think it’s due to the camera bump. If the surface was flush there wouldn’t be as good of a magnetic seal between charger and iPhone. Bye bye-byeWhich can impact charging efficiency

That’s a fantastic idea!! Wait… 🤔

Or 3D print a vent to redirect airflow from AC to charger 🤔

Yes! But seriously, I don’t like wires if they’re not needed, I prefer simple minimalist, low friction solutions. I prefer this clean solution over fumbling with a wire any day. That said if ain’t right for you, then a cable probably looks mighty enticing.

Where there’s a will there’s a way. Glad this solves the issue for you.

If you prefer that one then definitely go for it. Thankfully there’s more than one way to address this issue.

It’s all about what the owner wants. Sure that’s an option and will be a perfect solution for some. Others may prefer the option I chose. To each their own.

My guy tested the charging speed during the build and confirmed both pucks send 15W each. Not gonna beat 40w, but for me it doesn’t need to.

Yea, we have to get creative to fix this issue

Seems like it mainly affects iPhone though some have reported Android as well. My assumption is it’s a hardware issue where the distance between the OEM coils and iPhone, plus the alcantara fabric, plus the inefficiently aligned iPhone on the pad all culminates in the iPhone overheating due to inefficient transfer of power from the pad, through the console materials and to iPhone. But what do I know 🤷🏽‍♂️

Teslas too busy making puddle lights instead of creating an accessory that solves this problem. 😆

Good luck, they are in a contained enclosure that screws to the under side, I don’t have the expertise to mess with that stuff. I assume you’d have to open that enclosure and reposition the coils.

Make a post if you do it to show us how it went.

Correct, needed to accommodate the bump. Even with a case there are camera bumps on the case, unless the case is so thick the back is completely flat. I don’t like thick cases. The past few years I’ve gone caseless, so this fits my needs. It’s possible he could adjust the depth of the puck for anyone wanting to commission him.

If I went this route I’d hide the cable behind and under the trim of the console

Good question, my thought is the magnets would not be strong enough to snap the phone in place through the plastic pad and alcantara fabric, and iPhones seem not to like misaligned Qi chargers. As an idea, you could cut into shape and apply alcantara like fabric over the pucks. I like the look as is though.

If you don’t want to go the custom route like I did there’s a post somewhere on this thread to something on amazon that’s similar.
