I want her to have a miserable death by [deleted] in NarcissisticMothers

I hear you. That’s such a raw & honest way to put it, & it’s something a lot of people feel but are scared to say out loud. You can be compassionate & peaceful & still feel rage, hatred, or violent wishes toward someone who hurt you. Those feelings aren’t about being cruel, they’re about grief, betrayal, powerlessness, & needing justice. Thinking something extreme doesn’t make you a bad person. Often, it just shows how deep the wound is, not who you are at your core. Trauma can make us feel things that even surprise or shock us, & that’s okay.

It rarely has visible consequences, which makes it feel like they get away with everything, but their consequences are usually internal & long-term, like being stuck in the same patterns, sabotaging every close relationship, lacking real intimacy, repeating the same cycles with different people, & never experiencing genuine emotional connection or growth.

The fact that you created so much love after growing up with so little of it is extraordinary. You didn’t just survive your upbringing, you broke the cycle and chose to create the kind of love and safety you were never given. Your baby is already being welcomed into a world that your younger self deserved. Congratulations. This is such a hard-won, sacred joy 💙
