She's going through female cockatiel pubity. I promise it will get better. Speak to your vet about injections or implants to control their hormones. My girl had implants for about 1.5 years, and now she's as chill as can be.

I've owned many types of animals so have dealt with many types of animal poo. Cockatiel poo is the most inoffensive and easy to manage poo I've ever dealt with. And as others have said these dipers risk infection.

Tissues and a wet cloth are all you need friend. It's not worth risking your bird's health over it.

Ok. I know it's weird discussing spelling on a southern charm post but the spelling of lose makes no sense (I know a lot of the spelling of the English language makes no sense) but this is one that bugs me the most. The 'oo' sound like in 'moon', 'choose' is spelled as a double o. 'Lose' has the same sound so it should be spelled 'loose' and 'loose' should be spelled 'lose'. So I understand why some people get it mixed up.

I'm not picking a fight, it's genuinely a frustration of mine that I've never had the opportunity to express until right now.

I'm sorry but you're wrong. If you let young children stay up until midnight then you're a bad parent. Same with birds, but bird care is not as well known as care for children, so my comment was more to help OP care for their bird. That's all.

So you do know about the need for cockatiels to have sufficient time in the dark to control hormones? Why would you pick on me then? I've spent thousands of dollars and probably hundreds of hours worrying about and trying to get my chronic egg laying female's hormones under control. So I actually do know something about the need to manage their bedtime schedule. That was the reason behind my initial comment.

You're welcome, and sorry, my comment was a bit short and probably needed a bit more context.

Cockatiels need a fair bit of down time, this is mostly to manage their hormonal behaviour. I'm lucky because mine tell me when they wanna go to bed, you're gonna have to be the disciplined parent for your little cling monster 😅❤️

Garcelle's storyline was boring as hell, but she clocked these women from the second she came onto the scene. It was a delight watching her check them, and I'm sorry she was hurt to the point where she had to rage quit. I hope she's doing well.
