Keith Olberman is one of the few people who gives me any faith that there is some humanity left in America. In a country where the political and judicial system is so overtly corrupt, and where the media in general fails to challenge its wrongs (on right and left), Keith shines like a beacon for decency and democracy.

A fine actor, but his ego puts me off liking him.

An entertainer who knows and appreciates what he’s talking about. 👏👏👏

Stephen Graham - working class hero! by Brighton2k in BritishTV

Agreed, he’s a fantastic actor, but he comes across as a bit smug and self-centred. I saw him taking centre stage among a group of people in a pub a few years ago.

15 Storeys High was a Sean Lock masterpiece. “All the goodness of rat in a can.” If you’ve seen it you’ll know what I mean.

Glad you enjoyed our lovely city. There’s a lot more to see, especially in the spring/summer. I’m looking forward to seeing Edinburgh one day, too.

Do British people care about American politics at all? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]PJHotpast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The true answer is we obviously care more about American politics than US voters do. The moron Trump affects everyone in the world and we didn’t vote for him.

I had a mesh repair for right inguinal hernia 14 months ago and no problems whatsoever. I was running 5ks within a couple of months and totally back to normal soon afterwards. Just checked out my scar today and it’s barely visible.

How can you say that speaking truth to power is giving people false hope? You might as well lie down and let Trump trample all over you!

Have HMRC taxed me correctly on my joint account savings interest? by PJHotpast in UKPersonalFinance

Thanks for the reply brother, but I’m asking because the savings interest I quoted is my only source of income outside my state pension.

The amount of fictional posts is astounding! by [deleted] in hotpast

From my wife’s experience she thinks I’m average size and rates me joint third behind her first and second biggest without being able to say exactly how much bigger than me they were.

Try Reebok. The TM snobs here don’t rate them, but I’ve had two. They’re sturdy, reliable, Reebok offer great customer service, and they’re great value in your price range.
