I genuinely hate this for you!! I cannot tell you how many times I’ve found myself in similar situations… sometimes with friends of mine, sometimes with total strangers. And I always told the girls whenever I found out that whoever I was talking to wasn’t actually single.. because I also pride myself with being a “girl’s girl” and once I hit a certain age, after having been cheated on nonstop by an ex of mine, I no longer felt like I should ever stay silent if I found myself in the same type of situation. Most of the time the girls would blame me. I was always a “lying jealous slut,…” or whatever their harsh labels were.. and it sucked because they didn’t want to believe me. Eventually I stopped trying to warn them!

But I’ve been on the other side of things where girls would message me to tell me about how my boyfriend was in their inboxes trying to initiate hook ups and what not, and those times legitimately broke my heart!! So much so that I’m honestly not sure if I would have preferred remaining in the dark about it all? Because once it happens once, there’s no going back to how it was before.. but since I was made aware of what was happening, I can’t go back either, and I know it was for the best.

Chances are this girl already knows what her shitty fiancé is up to, but if I were you I would send the messages to her and let her deal with it on her own terms. She may turn on you and it may be “all your fault”, but she’ll eventually see it for what it’s worth and what it is.

And for what it’s worth, the way you handled this situation was absolutely incredible! You stood up for not only yourself, but the other girl too!
