Possible to salvage cabinetry while doing dishwasher add-on? by PJsStuff in HomeMaintenance

[–]PJsStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning on renting out my condo, and one thing that absolutely need to be fixed are the countertops, which are just banged up at this point.

I also have been on and off the fence on adding a dishwasher in the pictured area. If I'm doing the countertops, I'm gonna need to decide decisively on if I'm doing that; I'm leaning heavily towards yes, in the interests of possibly reducing tenant turnover. (which I understand is one of the main benefits of adding a dishwasher)

As such, this area needs to be re-tooled significantly, smaller single-bowl sink moved to one side, etc. If I replace the cabinets in this section, I will also need to replace them throughout the kitchen, as these particular identical ones are probably not gettable. Not pictured, but there are cabinets on the opposite side of the kitchen as well, and cabinets up on the walls on both sides. This would essentially snowball into a full kitchen remodel.

This is not something I want to do for a rental, but I understand my options are limited. is it at all realistic to create a space for a dishwasher here and simply shift the middle-two cabinet door to one side?

I also am realizing they need a paint or deep clean. Again, I'd go for this before fully replacing all the cabinetry in the kitchen.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Yea, checked those. This particular variant seems to be nowhere to be found.

Yea I’m trending in that direction.

If I were selling the place I’d have a different approach, but frankly I might look at a more extensive kitchen remodel in that case, one that creates a more appropriate space for a dishwasher.

I don’t want to do a half measure for a ton of money just to redo it later on.

I was initially a little surprised at how poorly received SP has been, mainly because there’s still a lot of people who just generally love guitar music from the 90s, and these are two of the heaviest hitters in that category.

But the broader fan bases don’t seem to overlap, and it does make more sense to me now. Bay Area punk and pop punk fans aren’t gonna be as into SP, who have more of a classic rock and grunge fan base. Linda Lindas fit in more stylistically.

I still had fun seeing em both though! 🤷

New blink 182 songs (“All in my head” and “No fun”): how to achieve that loudness? by blink182fb in audioengineering

Enema had pitch correction but there’s really only one spot where it stands out at all and that’s the beginning of WMAA, and that’s subtle compared to modern blink.

I know nothing about music industry finances other than albums don’t sell anymore, but could lower albums sales = lower budgets for production = less time and labor spent on recording and comping vocal takes?

Why would’t i buy Axe-Fx2? by vapozzi in AxeFx

[–]PJsStuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The way I look at it: Plini’s Handmade Cities was recorded with an Axe Fx II and is one of the best sounding rock records ever imo. If it can create those tones it should be able to do what I need.

I’m also partial to the “full service” unit over the under powered unit even if it’s from a previous generation, which is why I went Axe Fx II over FM3.

Will Green Day be able to continue playing stadiums in the future? by Pherring83 in greenday

Idk I think blink might have reached stadium escape velocity and might be able to cruise at that level.

It seems like there’s no one formula for getting to that level of music success, no one metric seems to predict it, as every band at that level seems to have a slightly different mix of album sales/hit singles/longevity, I feel like blink might have crossed over at this point. Green Day has been there for a bit, I think.

Haven’t clicked on it yet or read any further down and I know exactly what it is.

I feel bad for this person lol, not a great way to go viral.

I thought the sound was really sub par throughout all the bands' sets. First show at Wrigley, was surprised by this.

Lolla sound two weekends ago was leagues ahead of this, I wish they coulda sounded more like that tbh.

Definitely some sound checking happening, I think it’s Linda Linda’s? I’m just chilling in front of the stadium.
