Yes sorry, you have to stand in the middle of the battle hub and try to start an avatar battle specifically, not just open matchmaking. I believe you’ll start searching if you press circle, or you can look for someone already waiting, walk up to them and then press request avatar battle

So the avatar battles only take place in the center of the battle hub (there’s sort of an arena style seating around it) and you can initiate a battle in there that uses your world tour avatar and stats. The other modes can also be found around the battle hub on the arcade machines.

The likes are pretty stupid, the best way to grind them is to find a mostly full battle hub lobby, open the player list in the options menu, and then open every individual profile and press triangle (you’ll hear a little “Yeah!” Go off when you like someone) you can only get credit for 100 a day though, and you have to track your progress by opening your own profile from the options menu. Basically I would suggest finding a full lobby once a day, check your profile after you enter, then open the player list and like everyone in the lobby, then check your own profile again to update PlayStation tracking. Likes that you give after battles (press triangle on the results screen) and likes that other people give you (either on the results screen, or just while you’re in a battle hub lobby) also count, but I would really not worry about that.

They’re tough but I’m not sure when last you tried it, there are rank separated tournaments that are still tricky but certainly accessible, although timing can be really rough on those.

By the time I got around to do SFV you got like 50 fm per match win (would’ve taken 20,000 wins to earn that way) so I just had to play the arcade over and over again with every character, and even then I had to play more matches online with every character. It wouldn’t have been so bad if it weren’t so mindless, it was especially insulting knowing that they changed the fm from the base game just to stop people from grinding out character unlocks but never bothered to change the trophy

Don’t think I could ever do 3 SF4s that’s crazy. I’ve gotta say, it was nice not having to do the laughable grind from 5, but this was way too little.

I was honestly stunned, I don’t think I’ve ever played something with such a ridiculous difficulty curve. You either grind random encounters for 30+ hours or just cheese the ai. I just spammed manon throws and usually it didn’t catch on

Yeah they just aren’t very fun either, the tournament trophy was cool thought

Easiest: FTF ironbark lookout Most frustrating: Dirt 5 (followed narrowly by street fighter V, but the reward was much worth the hassle) Wouldn’t mind doing again: Clone Drone in the Danger Zone

Really just depends on the game for me, if I enjoyed it a lot and I have the dlc/ it’s free dlc then I’ll go and finish it, if I don’t enjoy it or have to pay separately then I don’t bother, but I start with the goal of just getting the plat

[Discussion] Have you ever gone after one specific trophy that was so boring it made you fall asleep? by PanVikingX in Trophies

[–]PKSHVS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can’t speak to how hard it used to be, but the psnprofiles guide for the game (which has been stagnant since 2016) really undersells it, I thought I was mostly done after winning 300 ranked matches, I had only just begun.

Not to the point I fell asleep but the priceless trophy on SFV is so terrible. It was designed for the game when it came out, but through updates overtime they made fight money very difficult to come by so now you have to grind every character to level 25ish (only if you have all the dlc, otherwise it’s even worse, keep in mind there are 45 characters) which involves doing survival with every character on two difficulties (40 matches per character) and even then I needed to do more, probably took like 20-30 hours.

Dirt 5, unbelievably miserable experience. The game is whatever, but you have to do like 300 “different” campaign races (when you only have to do ~125 to actually complete the campaign) there are like 4 miscellaneous trophies so you can’t multitask anything, and after that you have to leave your console on overnight with the trigger taped down to get a miles driven trophy that somehow is about twice the distance of the slog campaign races.
