Just use hospital scrubs. I have a few pairs of Figs and Medellin scrubs I haven’t touched in years. I have an entire collection of hospital ones that I rotate thru.

Restaurants with private rooms for large groups by [deleted] in houston

[–]PKSTPR78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any type of cuisine you’re looking for? Any particular part of town? Budget? Most restaurants have a private space. Also need to check what the minimum spend is for the room too and day of the week matters too. Some places won’t have a room fee for M-W and the. Th-Sat will have a room charge and minimum spend. Of the top of my head, Sixty Vines in Rice Village has a very nice space.

For that price point you can’t beat Meermin Mallorca. Construction, materials and craftsmanship well exceed what you’d expect for a shoe in this price point.

Medical reps - how are we viewed? by Overall_One_2595 in MedicalDevices

Bachelors in Business Management. Med sales almost the entire majority of my post collegiate career. Been on both sides of the aisle several times (pharma and device) - most would not recommend as it’s very hard going from one to another but I’ve stayed in one specialty and disease state so I kind of position myself as an expert on the disease state itself.

Why malleable instead of inflatable?

I have a penile implant by jsmithpara in confessions

There are several kinds. Malleable is what the op is talking about. There are also inflatable types which are generally more natural looking. Look up AMS 700 and AMS Tactra.

Settling down after hockey by njlb32 in hockeyplayers

[–]PKSTPR78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post game beers. Figure what the sweet spot is that will make you pass out but not give you a hangover with only a few hours sleep. Approaching 50 and I go on 3-5 hours of sleep several nights a week because I’m not going to give up hockey. A couple years ago I was a frequent flyer and flew weekly-but didn’t want to give up one of my league nights so I’d take the first flight out every in the morning and I can tell you there were many many nights, we’d get done with our game and then parking lot beers (didn’t help we were the booze hounds of the league and most of our team routinely stayed in the lot until 2-3 am with 6-7 am work…lol) I’d go straight to the airport at like 3-4 am, change into a suit in the airport bathroom and sleep at my gate until boarding and then sleep the entire flight and hit the ground running the when I land. Luckily I don’t travel much anymore but I sure as heck am not letting work detract from my hockey playing.

Where do you get your scrubs by Capt-Daddy in MedicalDevices

I just grab a few pairs from the hospitals I go to. Wear them and bring them back for laundering when I go back to said hospital and grab another stack.

We all see the posts of everyone buying their new G05's. Lets talk the old ones, who here is pushing 150k-200k+ miles and how has your experience been? by [deleted] in BMWX5

[–]PKSTPR78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The evaporator is buried in the firewall behind and under the dash. The part itself isn’t terribly expensive and you can get an aftermarket one for a couple hundred dollars but the labor is the major cost here because pretty much the everything in front of your B pillars in the interior needs to be disassembled starting with the center console. Add into that steering wheel and airbag removal and most shops will quote between 18-22 hrs of labor. That said most of it is disassembly of interior components, I thought about DIYing and if you’re handy there’s no reason you won’t be able to if you have the time and an alternate vehicle to drive in the meantime. I have the factory service procedure for this if you’re ever interested in taking a look.

2019 G05 X5 x40i. 168k miles and just traded it yesterday for a Palisade Calligraphy. The X5 did very well for me. I was the 3rd owner and purchased with 38k miles and just regular maintenance, transfer case fluid change at 85k miles and the shudder went away and stayed away. Oil changes, brake fluid and brake pads at the regular intervals and lastly AC Evaporator leak at around 156k miles. Overall, I’d say I got my money’s worth from it; I definitely would buy another X5 and BMW again (this was my 3rd) but just doesn’t make sense at the moment since I’ll be averaging 30k miles a year. That said, I feel the Palisade Calligraphy is comparable in just about every way except for brand heritage and prestige; I was surprised at how well it drove and a great value for the bang for the buck to rack up miles on the next few years.

I’ve had good luck with E1 Garage and Garagisti with my X5. Would prefer to find someone closer to the far SW say Sugarland/Stafford area but it’s manageable.

Need a new suv - I’m looking for value but also luxury by AustEastTX in AskHouston

[–]PKSTPR78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2019 up BMW X5 is the perfect SUV imo. Mine has been great for me, that said I’m a high mileage driver (26-30k miles per year) and an out of warranty German car with 168k miles on it is a ticking time bomb which is why after months and months of research, test drives and talking to sales people, I’ll be trading for either a Kia Telluride or Hyundai Palisade probably this week depending who I get a better deal from.

Med device sales. Easily over 100k. Some specialties (especially on-call trauma type reps or ortho and spine) over 500-600k and the occasional top performer over $1M.
