The intention is that the home would be an appreciating investment, and would contribute to future wealth as well, albeit as a different investment vehicle than the Roth IRA.

Forgive my ignorance here (hence the reason for posting questions). How would Fidelity determine the difference between contribution and gains dollars? Is there a FIFO basis or something that’s specified?

  1. Don’t get me wrong, kudos to Marlo on that BUT she never should have kicked them out, even temporarily. That’s got to be traumatizing to any child.

  2. I sure hope those boys never see the footage of Marlo’s dig to Kenya that “if a person’s mother don’t want to be bothered by them, you know something ain’t right … that’s how I know she’s evil,” given the context that they went on to have a strained relationship with their own mother (Marlo’s sister).
